There is a file called 'changes.txt' included in the download. It will be in your spellforce directory. It briefly describes some of the major changes to units and maps. I'm working on making a more detailed version.

Great mod love the work you are doing
Can`t wait when the SOTP campaing is done

Also I have a question is this mod making that zoom out for units icon (I mean bottom left side of the screen).
I`ve started to miss that view on theair faces so if there is a way to turn this off would be great.

    Keep up the good work

Thanks. I uploaded a new file to the files page. The camera won't be zoomed out on unit portraits.

I guess the fact that pressing "Free Game" causes the game to crash is because it's TBD?^^
edit: Stupid me reinstalled the game and forgot to set the game to beta 1.54 *facepalm*

Anyways I wanted to ask if there's a way to make it compatible with DRs Spelforce Reimagined, because I like the changes that were made there. I tried starting BoW with both on, but in the camp suddenly were level 20+ enemies and Aedar was hostile :D (I guess it's because of said incompatibility). It's really annoying that the game is that sensitive to certain files.

I'm working on balancing free game mode because some of the campaign changes indirectly affect free game mode. - some maps between lvl 1 -30 will have enemies that are too strong for the level that you are supposed to attempt them at.

Mod compatibility isn't so difficult with minor changes but Spellforce Reimagined is a very extensive mod, so making the 2 mods compatible will simply take too much time. Although it could be a possibility in the future.

Maybe if both are somewhat completed ^^ I appreciate the effort. How are you progressing so far?

I've started an BoW campaign (finally, too many games to play) and I like the level design of the whisperling swamp - however it was extremely challenging. I like that little dragon, buuuut... Make him immortal or let him respawn if he dies because at this point he's being put in a silent corner where no one is able to kill him, just because I fought hard to get him and don't wanna lose him :D

There are some minor grammar mistakes in unit and unit upgrade descriptions, but nothing serious in my opinion (I mean it pales in comparison to the general localization mistakes that were made in the OG, even a child could translate german to english better, so the english version sucks anyways when it comes to localization :D Oh my, I hope that doesn't come across the wrong way. I'm just pointing out a major flaw of the original game ^^)

      So Dundred was actually cut?

Thanks, that's some nice feedback. I'll look to fix those typos. I'm more than willing to accept criticism so don't worry about your thoughts coming across the wrong way.

The Whisperling swamps should be easier if you build some crossbow towers - especially at the south entrance. I've been trying to reduce the difficulty of a number of maps but it's difficult to find the right balance. (I don't want it to be too easy if you're playing on hard difficulty)

Making the dragon immortal seems like a bit too much of an advantage. She's good at dealing with enemy scouts on RTS maps, when you don't yet have an army and she's not that easy to kill unless you let her get outnumbered, but I do take your point - It's better to leave her out of large scale battles to ensure that she doesn't die.

John Dundred's quest is very similar to the quest in free game mode. Although the developers cut him out of the campaign his dialogues are still there.

Usually I let the scouts alarm their bases, so that didn't actually cross my mind :D A towerwall unfortunately is extremely hard to set up in the south because of the proximity, except if you don't let said scouts go sound the alarm of course. I set them up to the west and north (I started with north but regretted that later, since there were barely attacks from that direction).

The difficulty is fine (I mean what's making it difficult at any rate is the worker rune level always being extremely low compared to the enemies strength, it has always been that way which I find quite annoying for me personally). I wished the original maps were more challenging - not to the degree of another mod, just a little bit more to be kept busy.

About the dragon, well. I'm greedy, so I'm totally in for making her immortal/respawning (Maybe with a timer? Like say, he'll be revived after 5-10 minutes?) because accidents happen ^^ It's up to you though, don't change it just because one person wishes for it :D

At any rate, the only request I'd otherwise have is having a vendor selling rune workers (Some rune worker levels are exclusive to TOoD and BoW as far as I remember) and rune heroes of the respective other game (and perhaps a vendor for special high level - 8+ - spells if that isn't already a thing). That'd be awesome. It'd also be awesome to reduce and replace the useless item clutter, like the level 1 clubs and daggers and stuff. I appreciate the starting gear changes very much so, especially in BoW where it's not unlikely to die due to XP greediness (Damn you Lena and Grim stealing my precious exp!) at the first map, heh. The starting gear is definitely helping and making it more enjoyable. But it makes the low stuff completely obsolete if you catch my drift.

I'll note and report more stuff as I progress, I'm playing like 4-5 games simultaneously right now which actually is stupid of me. (AoW Planetfall, Spellforce, Warhammer 40k Inquisitor, SAO Alicization Lycoris and Warhammer 2) ^^

      Questions:
      - For doing the maps - does the tool, whichever you use, I don't know, work on W10? I'd imagine I'd be pretty good at designing maps by myself, which is something SotP and Free Game definitely is lacking. I'd definitely have lots of ideas.
      - I'm always playing with fog of war off (Bad habit, I just saw it all a million times and FoW is just annoying me :D); What are the spawners on mountains etc for? (Also in Frostfall, I'd adjust the ground underneath the Crimson Legion portal to match the portal because it looks out of place otherwise)

I used the map editor provided by Phenomic (Original developers) to design the maps but this can only be installed if you own the disk version of Spellforce Platinum. It also doesn't work on most Intel processors. There is another map editor provided by a guy called 'shovel_knight' on the Spellforce Discord channel. You can download it here: https://github.com/leszekd25/spellforce_data_editor/tree/with_viewer/bin

This map editor works on Intel processors and actually allows you to do more than the Phenomic map editor. Both editors work on windows 10.(I'm assuming that it what you meant by 'W10')

About the spawners on mountains: The Phenomic map editor doesn't allow you to save maps unless there is a spawn point on the map. They can be quite annoying to look at since they cannot be destroyed, so I tried to place them in areas that you wouldn't be able to see them. They do absolutely nothing - they will never spawn any units and they will never disappear.. They are only there out of necessity.

Could you replace orc monument with dark elves in Shal Dun? it was always weird for me to use orcs instead of elves on this map

Done. You can download it as an optional file from the files page. Feel free to leave any other suggestions and I'll do my best to accomodate them.
