INSTALLATION GUIDE

Requires: clean version of SpellForce 2: Demons of the Past

IMPORTANT: Delete old (v1.0 | v2.0 | v3.0 | v4.0) mod files, if they're installed in your game before installing the new (v5.0)

In order to uninstall the mod, you have to delete files, which are in SF2: DotP folder:

addon3/map/Campaign/ -delete all .map files along with the folders, which contains scripts, map UI, etc.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T INSTALLED THIS MOD (OLD VER.) YET:
--------------------------------------------------------

Back up these SpellForce 2 files, which you will find in SpellForce 2:DotP directory:

1. addon3\map\Campaign --maps along with the folders

IMPORTANT: After backing up the original maps and putting them to a safe location,
please delete the original maps (and folders) from addon3\map\Campaign (only leave a back up folder!).
Avoid overwriting/merging original and mod maps together!

It is not crucial to back up the following files, but if you want to play the original game with its original content later (UI, sound, etc.) then you should also back up these:

2. addon3\gfx\ui\main_menu --files

3. addon3\sound\00_music\ao3_theme.mp3

4. addon3\gfx\ui\worldmap\worldmap_back.tga

5. addon3\video\intro.bik AND addon3\video\intro_01.bik

6. base\gfx\ui\questbook\questbook_page_left_solved.tga

Then install the mod "Empire of the Shadowtrail (v5.0) (2018)".zip in SpellForce 2 directory:

1. Run SpellForce 2 and click on Campaign mode

2. Create new avatar

3. Start new Campaign! ;)
