I have the same problem as apatron52. I had no issues with the Shout expression on xbox, but some of the other expressions either didn't work, or were barely perceptible. On pc, the Shout expression looks exactly like the Angry expression, but all the others work fine.

Brilliant mod. When I switched computers about a year ago, I added Skyrim and a bunch of new mods. I have a little over 400 mods, but most of them ESLs. One or more of them cause a problem when during the "awakening" questline when you get to the pedestal in the actual crypt area. I put my hand on the pedestal and I get a permanent puzzled/digusted look stuck on my face. The only fix that I found was using the console, selecting my character and typing in recyleactor. That was a magic fix, but the problem is that it breaks other mods like iNeed and it breaks a few perks in Vokrii. It also caused a problem with O.S.L.A., but the mod author was kind enough to fix that issue.

Last night, I realized the problems with iNeed and I couldn't figure out a fix to this issue with the recylceactor command.

I hit the internet and I stumbled across this mod and it appears that this mod fixed my issues. It fixes the expression without having to resort to the recylceactor command. If I wait eight hours, the fixed expression remains. I've still got to go to another area to see if it carries over to a new cell. The early returns look promising.

Well, I did more messing around this morning. I learned that the recycleactor command wasn't breaking iNeeds after all. I also learned that without the command, the corrections that your mod imposes get reversed as soon as I reload the game or move to another cell. I still like the mod and will keep it in my load order. I'll have to try to figure out what's causing iNeeds to break.

Wow great! Is there any chance you could make this work for NPCs?

Something in my game keeps setting my expression to "Happy," giving me a goofy half-smile. I do not wish to have a goofy half smile. However, invoking Expressionator 25 times an hour is very cumbersome, even with Expressionator favorited-
    1. Open Favorites
    2. Side-scroll to Magic
    3. Scroll down to Expressionator
    4. Click Expressionator
    5. Close Favorites
    6. Press Shouts control to open Expressionator
    7. Select Neutral
    8. Side-scroll to 100
    9. Click on 100
    10. Press Exit/Cancel/Close/Go TF Away to close Expressionator
    11. Play game for 2 minutes, by which time I have set AddItem Menu back on my Shout button, displacing Expressionator, and my goofy grin is back.

I read somewhere that the game sets "mood=happy" several times an hour unless the player is in combat, so that's undoubtedly what keeps un-doing my "Neutral 100" setting via Expressionator. If I knew how to find it, I would make a patch plugin to stop the game from doing that. But I don't know where that function comes from in the game.

I have a BAT file to issue "mfg reset" but for some reason this does not remove my goofy half-smile... and neither does Expressionator's "Reset" option. Only explicitly setting my expression to Neutral 100 does the trick, but it's really getting old having to do it 500 times an hour when the game forces the goofy grin back onto my face.

I'm looking for a way to set my expression to Neutral (100) with a batch file or hotkey. Even examining the Expressionator plugin fails to reveal how to issue the appropriate mfg command for "Neutral" and "Strength=100." Whatever mfg commands Expressionator is issuing, they are not showing up in the console as I had expected they would.

There is an Oldrim mod called Sgt Facial Expression Batfiles (sic) but unfortunately, the bat files provided that look like they bring expressions to Neutral (f0 and z0) both simply issue "mfg reset", which as I mentioned above fails to fix my goofy grin. Also, the f0 and z0 bat files apparently require that the player explicitly be "clicked on" to self-target instead of simply issuing "player.mfg whatever" or "prid 14" followed by "mfg (whatever)". All in all it's a mess and does not lend itself to writing a bat file that does not require anything but running it so I can set it on a kb macro and just press that button instead of the 10-step program to make Expressionator do it..

Can anyone help me break this inscrutable code?

Hello, I play on xbone and like this mod a lot. I am having some trouble though. The shout expression is the same as anger for my character for some reason. I also noticed that at 100 on certain expressions like anger or sad that the teeth or chin or something below the bottom lip tends to clip. Disgust does open the mouth a little which I love doing when an NPC says something ridiculous just for comedic effect if I'm streaming or making a capture. Scared and surprised work well too (I think fear or scared opens the mouth a little as well). I wanted to try to get an open mouth expression like the screen shots but I don't know what I could be using that might be conflicting if anything.

For anyone interested, this mod allows me to use an "ee" vocal expression, parting the lips slightly which results in a good smile using one of the facial expression / head tracking mods.
Choice of vowels will be different for various face shapes.

Just one way this very useful mod can be used!

R246, your character with the very colorful hair from your screenshots is beautiful. May i ask, what mods you use for her, textures, body, hair, eyes, maybe ECE and what do i know?

      She's a preset from a mod called R246 Concept. https://imgur.com/a/QAn6h

It's only available for XB1 in the WIP section. I use ECE now so the mod is basically abandoned. Skin textures are Demoniac RealSG. Hair is KS Hair with Multicolored KS Hair textures, eyes are The Eyes of Beauty.

This is useful in normal circumstance, for I like the dark souls style expression ---- no expression at all, just cold, deadly, relentless assaults.

This is really quick and easy to operate. Thanks for this neat idea! Just a suggestion: is it possible to make a version to "cast" the expression spell on a companion?

    Endorsed!
