The weapon drawn animation bugs out after death and player can't draw or fight again. I use player.playidle sexlabidlereset (Pretty much need SLab) and select weapon to unsheath again. Better to put that command on a notepad in Skyrim SE's folder like calm.txt and then console-> bat calm
Works as described, simple, straightforward, good job.
I did have two minor problems, one where I could not move at all (I selected myself, and typed "kill" to fix this problem)
And another where the bad guys started attacking before I could even stand up. I did see where you suggested faster standing animations, and i thought I had one, but I will double check.
Even with the two minor issues, this is my favorite death alternative mod so far
For the first issue, i think it was caused by the script trying to set player to be driven by AI in a short milisecond as a workaround for silent dialogues. Honestly, I haven't tested whether if it's still required.
For the second issue, some npc do keep their aggression once you get back up while some got "satisfied". There's a veeery minor window where you could die twice if the damage somehow exceeds your maximum health(i tested it by swimming in aetherium forge lava with player's max hp set to minus), but sadly that's just how papyrus works and putting too much workaround for it would simply bloat the script. I wanna rewrite this through SKSE, but I'm still trying to figure out if i can fix the floating issue via native papyrus function so i can just look for similar stuff in the NG library, otherwise i'll have to resort to reverse engineering(of which i can't do) and deal with versioning issue(that i don't want to)...Sorry for the rambling.
This mod doesn't seem to work with enhanced death cam, if I change settings with that mod, so respawn takes like 20 sec, my character gets resurrected, I can move, but then it still loads previous save.
Also is it possible to disable the weird invisibility effect during resurrection?
Try to diagnose your save with Fallrim Tools. Loaded script stacks could be the problem. Otherwise, see that you've configured any mod of which might overwrite deathcam duration.
If it's shown on the active effects tab then yes. Additionaly, however, i found out that racial passives can be reobtained through reloading your savegame.
Would this ever work with Shadow of Skyrim mod? Like you get to resurrect and then it enters a cooldown so if you die again, youre out. If it doesnt work like that, no big deal. I still want to try this out later today. I changed my mind, imma try it now.
Any and all active effects gets wiped. Doesnt work with Shadow of Skyrim enabled even with the alternate death setting but you can disable and enable when you want. So if you dont care about your active effects getting wiped, its cool. I guess it sort of balances out in that regard. Maybe the mod will change later but it is what it is.
You werent lying when you said it get rids of all your active effects. Still super cool for what it is though. Simple to use and straightforward. Thanks for sharing this.
