Is this not compatible with Survival mode Improved? I have the survival patch and this loading after it but only the ale it looks like is working. The wine increases stamina regen instead of the 20 boost to amount for mackica and same with food/meals. only give health per second with all these installed and no inscrease in amount?

If you load all the files from this mod after Survival Mode Improved it should work fine. Send some screenshots of the conflicts in xEdit if it's not working properly.

Been modding for 5 yrs and never learned xEdit and never needed to but your mods are loaded after Survival Mode Improved and 100% correct load order so def not working properly. This only started after Survival Mode Improved was added. Now you know to fix or leave it. Just wanted to do my part as a lover of your mods to inform you

If you don't send me screenshots of the plugin conflicts I can't help you or trust that it's an issue with my mod. I use Survival Mode Improved and there is nothing wrong in my setup.

Hi! I was thinking of patching the Missing Food Mods for your Simple Better Food mod and I wanted to ask for your advice. Is it enough to carry over the fitting Effects (like "FoodFortifyHealth "Fortify Health" [MGEF:001058A5]") and durations in xEdit? Or is there more to it? Thank you for your work.

Well I certainly tried to go with a theme for different types of foods, in this case since they're special I might have given some extra thought to give them some unique effects as well, but just patching them for consistency should do the job fine.

Thank you for your answer! Just want to make them consistent for now. Though maybe I'll try finding food that is similiar to Skeever liver in some way (or not). :)

Edit: For anyone interested, I made Hillevi's Mince Pies consistent with the Meat Pie, Carlotta's Pumpernickel consistent with Garlic Bread and Orgnar's Skeever Liver consistent with Charred Skeever Meat.

For anyone else patching: The Wild Gourd (Forgotten Seasons CC), Iron Wood Soup (Bittercup CC) and Raw and Cooked Nix-Hound meat (Nix-Hound CC) can also be patched for consistency. The poisoned cheese (Bow of Shadows CC) can probably be left as is.

I was not aware of those, I'll add them when I'm able. Must've missed them.

Oh, thank you! Yes, some of the new food items and ingredients are really easy to miss and some don't have pages on uesp. Bloodchill Manor for example adds a new kind of Nightshade, Dead Man's Dread adds a new consumable Poison and Bittercup also adds a Sujamma spiked with Poison. Only the last one is even quest relevant.

great mod, but any way to prevent buff stacking? Either through this mod or by combining it with another? Love the simplicity compared to other "food overhauls" that literally overhaul the kitchen sink along with it, but the buffs just from 3 or 4 items stacking are kinda OP, especially at early levels, more so for mages, sort of makes potions obsolete.

It would require me to make all new magic effects and greatly reduce the simplicity of the mod, so for now no there isn’t a good way to do it. You can try Immersive Ingestibles on Oldrim Nexus if you want that feature, it’s what I originally based the idea of this mod off of, it’s similar.

Love the food effects MUCH more than Gourmet. Can we get a Eating animations and sound patch? If i eat in 1st person or use a potion i get stuck in 1st person. Only started after this mod was installed

Try loading it after this, a patch is unlikely though

Great improvement over the vanilla food. Basic too. Not a reconstruction of the whole food system. Great work!

Question: Can I still spam vegetable soup to become invincible? LOL

If you are so inclined yes, this doesn't mess with the vanilla food effects or stacking.

This looks to make sense. I hope it and Simple Better Recipes dance well with Hunterborn, Campfire, and iNeed as I have finally got the famed "sensible survival" mods going properly in my build.

That said, I do have sad news. In the optional files section, the linbk in the description of the Skyrim Cut Content Restoration Patch is to the Hearthfire Fixed mod page again.

Last time I tried this it wasn't compatible to AE and survival mode. Saw this today and pleasantly surprised. Thank you. Looking forward to using it tomorrow.
