No because that comes with its own _DS_HB_Actions script which I've modified too. I'll make a note of this on the Description page. Thanks for pointing that out.
Are you using both the HIS Skinned Models mod (which is required by this mod) AND Hunterborn Animations? They both have that script so I don't know how you could use both together anyway.
yes because from Hunterborn animations description
HiS Skinned Models: Compatibility patch between both mods. If you want to use this, check the mod/patch installation instructions over there and install the optional file over it. Requires: Hunting in Skyrim Skinned Models for Hunterborn.
Ah good catch, I didn't realize Hunterborn Animations had its own patch for HIS Skinned Models. Unfortunately my patch isn't compatible with that patch. If I used Hunterborn Animations I'd be inclined to make a patch for it to work with Immersive Death Cycle too, but since I play in 1st person the animations wouldn't be worth the effort. Sorry! From the Hunterborn Animations author:
About first person, the animations are made for third person view, even the vanilla animations I'm replacing with OAR. You can play them in first person with Improved Camera, but it's not really good. Camera position is too close to the carcass/ground and player's head moves a lot. We don't really have plans to improve the animations regarding first person view, unfortunately.
Hunting in Skyrim Skinned Models for Hunterborn mentions that this is so you can have the Hunting in Skyrim models without installing it. If we use Hunting in Skyrim, would we still need this?
I just read through the posts in HIS and it appears you do NOT need this mod or the HIS Skinned Models for HB when using both HB and the full HIS mod because that combination already gives you the best of both worlds. I already played HIS to most of its completion years ago in LE and didn't feel like using the whole mod again; hence this subset of it.
Here's a blurb from the full HIS mod sticky post: Does this [the full HIS mod] work with Hunterborn? Yes. When Hunting in Skyrim's features are enabled you can select the mod option to turn off my skinning system. As an added bonus, in the MCM menu for Hunterborn you can enable my skinned animal textures when you skin an animal with Hunterborn. If you use the following mod/patch, Hunterborn will automatically take over the skinning from this mod and even supports my skinning skill system.
