    Update (15.12.2024):
The AV and MO2 issues should be resolved now. Please report otherwise on our Discord server if you're still experiencing issues.

    DIP Antivirus Issues
Many of you may have noticed that DIP has been blocked by Windows Defender since the last few updates. I suspect this is the cause for those users where DIP doesn't even start via MO2.
We've now reported DIP as a false positive to Microsoft and will keep you updated.

As always, if you don't trust DIP, you're able to check out its source code on GitHub: https://github.com/Cutleast/Dynamic-Interface-Patcher

When the patcher scans for patches it doesn't look through the folder with all your mods but its own mod folder itself so it doesn't detect any patches. It also said no patches were loaded when you manually select the paths. How can this be remedied? I use vortex as well.

For those of you using vortex, you must choose the exe in the folder in your data folder not the vortex mods folder. Also, be sure you dont have the racemenu patch active from the Nordic UI fomod, that overwrites this mod.

First of all: Running DIP on Linux (Wine) is not supported.
Second: That message states that the error is caused by FFDec - not by DIP. Check the log above that traceback for messages from FFDec why it may have failed to run.

MO2 has installed Edge UI - RaceMenu - DIP Patch in my Appdata MO2 folder, but when I run DIP it "detects" path to this mod in my Steam game folder, even tho nothing is there. When I want to replace path with the actual mod path, it doesn't allow me to patch. Halp! :)

That's the correct behavior and is due to the way MO2 handles mod files using its VFS.
just go on and click on Patch

v2.1.3 is known for its AV issues. v2.1.5 should fix them so I suggest using the latest version.

i would also like to know. my discord is cluttered with servers I don't even look at 99% of the time... not really because of nexus or any mods that require it, I just join a lot of streamers servers.. anyways i'd like to not add to it until I get the motivation to clear out my stuff.

There are two articles in the articles tab, having a step-by-step tutorial to use DIP in Vortex and MO2.

All this time and effort spent just be able to add patterns to the racemenu application?
Did you develop a software that can patch indirectly since the author does not allow patching directly?

It started as an experiment back in March 2023 with DIP's predecessor, DRIP (Dynamic RaceMenu Interface Patcher), with the main goal of working around the closed permissions. And it was the second project I ever published and I found it to be a great opportunity to try something new and it was quite fun. While developing on DRIP, the idea came up to expand upon this, outside of RaceMenu, so I created DIP which was at first heavily based on DRIP but is now much more complex and also used for other dynamic SWF patches, like these: Dynamic Interface Patcher - Various Patches and Experiments.

    hi there, a rookie question:
Everything works just fine (used DIP 2.1.2 to patch edge skuy to racemenu), the outcome appears in overwrite folder, here the question:
should I drag the outcome to the patch forder?
By doing so no esp appears, neither any overwriting sing...
    What did I miss?

The patches don't contain any plugins. And you don't see any overwritten files because they're in a BSA (RaceMenu.bsa to be exact).

      Understood, thanks so much!
So, should I drag and drop the files made by dip to race menu? Or to a new mod called whatever-patch?
