I dont think I ever had this bug before but recently I have a problem where random friendly NPCs would get hostile, but not all of them. Specifially when I go inside the Drunken Huntsman. I dunno if its related to this bug but I guess I might as well install this anyway.
So, im being attacked by a Dawnguard member for no real reason, and its only one, and i have no bounty on me. Could not get it to work what so ever. Can say, this mod works. No more attacking :-)
Sadly i just found this mod after rerolling 3 saves and 3 hours until i finally was far enough back to avoid what ever was causing the problem in the first place.
That said, its always good to have some sort of fix, if you cant resolve it by reloading an earlier save ;-)
I killed a guard before entering Winterhold and the bounty was withdrawn, but after entering Winterhold the guards attacked me.
Edit. I tried to do the same thing twice and the second time the guards didn't attack me, but the third time I did the same thing they attacked me again in the city.
At the bottom of the description page you say can be install/uninstalled whenever but there is a script. Isn't it a bad idea to remove a script midgame?
If they're continuously running, yes, but I'd imagine this just runs on cell swapping, so maybe just remove it while in an interior to be safe. I don't know why you'd uninstall it unless it was causing issues, though.
(This mod doesn't make your Skyrim 4K ultra HD nor does it enable ray-tracing)
Goddammit! I was going to download it to easily have my game with visual improvements! (Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure I'll need this mod when I'll reinstall my game. It has happened to me before that when entering WhiteRun suddenly all the people in there attacked me, even thought I was a model citizen!)
The most recent update to this mod makes me wonder if this was the cause to some weird aggro-dropping I've been having. It was happening rather reliable when fighting at Valtheim towers, along with the Bear/Sabrecat at the Riverside Shack (when approached from the north). They'd just constantly forget I exist, even if I wasn't sneaking.

The Whiterun guards proceeded to attack which messed up the Jester quest introduction.
Thanks for adding this mod. Wish I could have found it sooner

Guess I'll have to check it out.
(Edit: Nope, seems the search is still on)
