There has been questions about whether these effect summons. While I am pretty sure they do not, there is no harm in being careful. New update has been posted. You will notice that the SPID has been streamlined as well as including "-S" at the end. This locks the perks from being distributed to summonable creatures!
Edit: Don't pay attention to multiple attempts to update. I am a goof.
A: Many custom voiced followers actually shouldn't be imported into the Nether Follower's Framework AI. The mod authors of these amazing followers highly discourage having NFF take over since it typically breaks the character's scripts.DFW was made specifically for custom followers at its core, to get around this issue. It just so happens that it works on any follower you want it too!

First of all: great mod! I was looking for a mod like these for so long since I like to play with multiple followers, but as the more you add, the less you play the game and just keep in the corner watching them decimate any camp/boss by themself, i'm so glad you made this. However I've encountered a problem when tried to use it with Recorder - Standalone Fully Voiced Follower. She was not receiving the perks whatsoever, not when I configured the .ini to give it to ALL Followers, neither when I used the Specific option.
So I've disabled all mods but Recorder, DFW, Alternate Start and More Informative Console to test it faster; also no luck, every NPC that I checked had the perk, except Recorder. Then I simply tried removing the "-S" that prevented the perks to be distributed to summons to see if somehow Recorder was being considered as such rather then a follower and... It worked.
I've edited like this, and when I've checked in game, she was with the 75% nerf just fine. For some reason the "-S" in the SPID was preventing her from receiving the perk. Idk why this was happening and honestly I'm too tired today to keep thinking about, but fortunately it worked out in the end.
If you are having the same problem as me, try removing the "-S" using one of the specific configs (So you don't nerf your own summons by giving the perk to everyone) and see if helps.
Nice mod! It fixed my group style game. Unfortunately it's causing CTD with my Cat Totem Spell (from Apocalyspe Magic). Don't know why, but fixed when I removed the mod.
Why do I have "-S" instead of 100? Anyways I removed the ";" on the 75% hopefully it'll work. ;DEFAULT CONFIGS ;50% Magic and Damage Output Nerf to All Followers ;Perk = 0xD62~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S ;25% ;Perk = 0x800~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S ;75% Perk = 0x801~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S ;TARGETED CONFIGS ;50% Magic and Damage Nerf to these Specific Followers ;Perk = 0xD62~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S ;25% ;Perk = 0x800~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S ;75% ;Perk = 0x801~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S
Any way to add the perk manually to a follower? I'm using Daegon and I'm fairly sure she doesn't take the perk as I set her to 75% reduction (so 1/4 of her normal damage correct?) and she still do much damage
1. Instructions are not clear enough. Let's say I want to weaken everyone by 80% and that is it, what should I see? Is it like this with everything else deleted? ;DEFAULT CONFIGS ;80% ;Perk = 0x801~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S
2. Do I put the optional ini inside where the esp is or should I just install it via MO2 and edit it on it's own folder?
3. Also does the percentage mean they become 80% weak or do they became 20% weak because 80 minus 100(%) is 20? Basically I'm not sure if I put 100% would they became default or if 0% is the default.
4. I do not understand the difference between the three perks mentioned. All I know is I only need weaken my followers by 1/3rd because I would like to use 3 of them. I assume that all three perks(0x801, 0x800, and the other one) are happening at the same time. I removed everything except that 0x801 assuming that I only needed 1 perk that makes them 80% weaker. But I do not know if I have made a mistake. Please clarify, I have asked multiple people across different discord servers about this and they are confused as well.
5. Maybe I'm confused, does the ini only control the options I am allowed to toggle ingame? If so how do i toggle it ingame? Do I go to mcm and go to Dynamic Follower Weakening? Do I go to SPID? Do I recieve an item that will allow me to customize it? I'm really sorry for the questions but not everyone is good at modding.
you are reading WAY too into things that aren't there my friend. You sound newish to these tools. The instructions are very clear(ish)
1. 80% is not an option. Read the options 2. you can just install it anywhere. 3. answered by 1. 4. the 3 perks is 25%, 50%, 75%. Only one can be active at a time 5. no
Out of curiosity, if I have the 50% weakening toggled, then dismiss the follower, they'd go back to full strength right?
Then if I disable the 50% and enable the 75% weakening and then recruit the follower again, will that give them the new 75% weakening without the need to disable and re-enable them?
2nd question answer: i THINK no. The perk is always there. The perk only activates when they are in your party.
3rd. I could be wrong about needing to disable and enable. SPID has changed the way it distributes. Its very possible that it is reapplying whatever perk you have chosen at run time every time you boot up the game. So no need to disable enable. COULD BE WRONG. Spid has changed.
Not really without making whole new perks. If I ever do a revamp. It will be skypatcher based where it will allow me to do what I want at the ini level

Q: Doesn't NFF do this?

Is there a way to change magic damage (destruction spells) output only?
Thanks!
