Will setting CPU affinity improve the performance of my game? It may or may not. It all depends on your hardware, this is why this tool will automatically allow you to disable CPU affinity as well.

add a core count check, leave Skyrim at least 8 cores. Less than 8 cores might perform performance impact.
I have installed your file in the plugins directory however, it does not show up. I when into the settings for plugins and see it listed but the enabled box is not checked. Unfortinately MO2 is not allowing me to enable the plugin. Not sure why this is happening.
I am having the same issue. MO2 ver 2.4.4 Skyrim Priority mod ver 3.4. I have alot of MO2 plugins already installed is there maybe a limit on how many can be installed at the same time?
Edit: It is not even showing up in my tool plugins menu
Same thing here. Tried all versions, and it doesn't show up. Not even in the "Settings > Plugins" menu. Actually, I only have BSA Packer and Ini Editor.
I see where you're getting at and everything's working now. What I did, after following you steps:
1) changed MO2 folder from Documents to ProgramFiles folder 2) the "plugin_phyton.dll" was in the Blacklisted Plugins in the Settings > Plugins folder. That's what you've probably expected to see, right? hehe
After "un"blacklisting him, it worked. Thanks for your patience man!!
One question though, with this mod I don't need to use that CMD and Powershell thing that we needed to do before? Can I start Skyrim from the SKSE normal path?
In the SKSE Priority mod page there are instructions to define the CPu Affinity, which includes running SKSE.exe via a Powershell script with specific lines.
My bad, the instructions to these scripts I've told are actually part of the mod "MO2 with CPU Priority and Affinity Setup", here's the link, there's a pinned comment in the POSTS section which indicates these 2 ways of setting the CPU Affinity.
It's not showing up under settings-plugins or the tools area for me :( I copied it under D:\Mod Organizer 2\plugins which is where its supposed to go as far as I know.
I'm a tad puzzled. I use MO2 2.5.0 (Nexus download) and all I get is this: https://postimg.cc/N5HZQv1P I ran the game to see if the plugin would fire up afterwards. still no joy. I have the Priority DLL in place. Anything I can do to kick this into action, please?
Didn't really help me, but what really works for my cpu is disabling half the cores in the affinity setting from task manager, I do it manually and it improves the fps always and makes the game more responsive. My cpu is 8 core with 16 logical processors. hope this helps someone
I disabled them alternatively starting from cpu 1, means cpu 0, cpu 2, cpu 4 ..... are on. I read somewhere that this disables SMT feature something about multi threading not really sure, and as far as my knowledge skyrim doesn't utilize a 8 core system with multi threading? tho this should cause negative impact on cpus with less physical cores
Only one question. Since this disables cores, would it be positive or negative in performance if you have threaded optimization checked on Nvidia panel?
Everytime I chose to set CPU Affinity in MO2,it always said "CPU Affinity not set(0)" even though it's not my first time to set it.Does it means I didn't set successfully or not? Detailed Imformation is as followed: Current CPU affinity is not set(0). You have 8 logical processors. Do you want to change CPU affinity to:0X00000000000000F5? #Remaining same information.
This is only calculator/MO2 plugin, it does not have any impact on your game. If you have question about Skyrim Priority SE AE mod - skse plugin, use this link and ask.
I encountered frame rate dropping from 60 to 5 fps randomly after several ten mins playing and specifically open-world loading. Dunno if it's this mod or my other mods and I'm still testing.

Edit: I never use CMD or Powershell to run MO2. Why you need it?
Skyrim Priority SE AE - skse plugin by Boring3 works fine if your settings are correct.
You can run game and confirm it. I use this tool to check such information.

I can add such option in next update.
