Dynamic Random Dragons doesn't require a new game.
Dynamic Random Dragons improves the frequency of Dragon world encounters, and makes them actually random and unpredictable.
In vanilla, the chance to trigger Dragon world encounters is set to 100% every 3 in-game days, which can be boring since you already know when a Dragon is gonna appear. Dynamic Random Dragons replaces this system.
Dragon world encounters can happen anytime you are outside. The base chance to trigger them is set to 0 and progressively increases by 1 each day. It's reset back to 0 when a world encounter — such as "Dragon fly by", "Dragon vs Giant" and "Dragon vs Player" — is triggered. After the main quest is completed, Dragon world encounters will occur less often.
Compatibility
Dynamic Random Dragons' edits are confined to its scope, so it shouldn't be problematic for your game. Works very well with Diplomatic Dragons and Sil Gahrot. If you are using Timing is Everything, make sure that Dynamic Random Dragons is placed after it. "Block Random Dragon Attacks" kind of mods might not be compatible at all.
