Yeah I've just discovered this. It's possible to enter the cave though, because the full entrance is a bit more at left. But there is a rock in the middle of the shrine. I'm checking if you can enter the cave disabling just that rock.
I'm currently testing Disnel out on Xbox. I noted her mouth doesn't move with dialogue, is that supposed to be that way? Also can she be adjusted in Racemenu?
I hope one day you complete this follower. I downloaded her and added her to my party. The voice acting is great and I really haven't noticed any clipping of her armor. If it's there it's not immersion breaking for me. I just hope, with the completion of this mod, she can get her changeling powers back. Thanks for sharing her. By the way, she is in a party with myself, Beatrix, and Recorder, and she is holding her own in fights, and in banter. Update, pulled out Beatrix and added Auri and Inigo to the party with myself, Recorder and Disnel.
UPDATE: I've been using her for about a month and have done all all her dialogue options and have her completely geared up. She run in a party with myself, Auri, Recorder, and Inigo. I expect to hear her when I'm questing, and enjoy all her banter, and as of late I have really learned that I don't want to do this playthrough without her. You see I accidently killed her. Not on purpose of course. I was doing the last quest in the Thieves Guild questline where you kill Mercer Frey. As I was clearing the dungeon I noticed she wasn't behind me, but neither was Inigo or Recorder. Sometimes followers get glitchy when entering dungeons and since I still had Auri I figured I'd clear it just with her. Usually follower will just teleport to you when you leave the dungeon, and that's what I was expecting. I cleared the entire dungeon, killed Mercer, sat through all the dialogue at the end, and then went outside. Inigo was there but no Disnel. Ok... So I turned on her tracking and I see she is just to the east of Whiterun at the tower where the bandits are at. I ran there and it showed she was on the bridge which spans the river, but when I crossed the bridge she wasn't there. Then I looked down... She's in the river. Immediately I am fearing the worst. I run down the tower and wade into the water and find her lifeless body. Immediately I decide I am not leaving her to rot and despawn in the world like a common NPC. I pick her up and carry her all the way back to Whiterun, and wow did I get some looks from other NPCs walking past ("Why are you doing that?" "Oh, she's dead" just to name a couple). I get to the gate and realize I can't click on the gate while holding her. So I leave her there run inside to my home and teleport her body to me. I don't like console commands but I sure as hell wasn't leaving her body outside the gate after taking almost 30 minutes of real world time to carry her all the way to Whiterun, and it would absolutely gutted me to see her evertime I left Whiterun. Creepy as it sounds, if she's going to be dead in the world, she is going to remain in my home as a memorial. I put her on the bed and then I stop. I realize I don't want to continue this playthrough without her. Spend an hour or so looking at possible solutions. The console commands "ressurect" and "reset" came up but they both had lots of issues and were probably going to break the save file of a playthough I am way too invested in, so their off the table. Also learned that I must have accidently sniped her. From what I read, enemy NPCs can knock a follower down but they eventually get back up, BUT if the player one-shots them they stay dead, and I was sniping from a distance so I must have accidently hit her in the fray, and then she fell off the bridge. The only option I could see was going back to the save prior to me starting the quest to finish the Thieves Guild. Last I saved we were standing on the inside of the gates of Whiterun. I stopped because it had gotten late and I knew the next quest was going to take some time and didn't want to be playing until 3am, AGAIN. I loaded it in and as soon as the screen lit up she was standing in front of me. After carrying her lifeless body for over 30 minutes, and looking up possible options for almost an hour, as soon as I saw her I knew I was doing the right thing. We re-did the entire journey and dungeon run (her, Inigo, and Recorder again did not phase into the dungeon, only Auri; must be some weird bug with phasing in on that one particular dungeon; but they was there when we came out), and finished up the Thieves Guild questlines. Is she the prettiest, no. Does she have the most fleshed out and compelling storyline on the Nexus, no. She is greater than the sum of her parts and is definately one of the best followers on the Nexus.
I really like her , idk why though but she leaves the cave and then disappears and I can’t find her again. She says let me know when you want me to join you, then I can only talk to her about dragons.. 😭
I have been trying the LE version of this mod and everything seems to be working fine - until I try to come with me as a follower. She "disappears" and I don't see her inside or outside of the cave. Am I missing something, is there a level have to be at before she will be a follower? Mod seems to have promise, but if I can't get her to follow me it is a show stopper. I'll be looking back from the LE later on in hope that I may be able to take her around. Later: I found how to get Disnel to actually follow you and not disappear, at least in SLE. You have to get to a dialogue screen that has "Follow Me" instead of one of the "similar" choices you see in the early dialogue sets. For those that had her disappear, I hope this helps.
I seem to have a tiny issue with speaking to Disnel after talking about dragons, where she walked out of the cave and…kinda disappeared forever. Which is a shame, because the voiceacting is perfect. After losing her I couldn't even find her using console :(

Sorry of the wall of text.
Thanks again for sharing her with us.
