This is an essential mod. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this. When I initially planted creep cluster, I was able to harvest it at a certain angle. Later on when I returned after doing some quests, they were basically impossible to harvest. Thanks again for doing something Bethesda could not.
Assorted Mesh Fixes changes the height of the soil to remove a gap between the ground and the soil mound. I'll add a patch for it. Here's the image from Assorted Mesh Fixes showing the change:
What's the significance of the switchnodechildren files? I see mods include them from time to time, but I have never been able to figure out what they are used for.
It's to change the object model from non-harvested to harvested. Screenshots show you exactly what the new switchnode does too, which is different from vanilla's harvested model.
I misread what you said. I figured it was weird since you did make some harvestable mods lol. That said, those switchnodechildren files are in the vanilla game, but I don't know if it's ever used in any ways.
I know what the switchnode does, I mean the models in these paths: meshes\_byoh\plants\switchnodechildren\byohhouseingrdcreepcluster01_1.nif meshes\dlc2\plants\switchnodechildren\floradlc2creepclusterash01_1.nif meshes\dlc2\plants\switchnodechildren\floradlc2creepclusterash02_1.nif meshes\plants\switchnodechildren\floracreepcluster01_1.nif meshes\plants\switchnodechildren\floracreepcluster02_1.nif
The switchnodechildren files are included in the vanilla game for the plants that include NiSwitchNodes. They just have the model in its harvested state alone, whereas the plant NIF files have both the unharvested and harvested versions as children of the NiSwitchNode. As far as I can tell, the switchnodechildren files might not even be used by the game. In my testing, making changes to the switchnodechilden meshes has no effect that I can see. I just include them anyways because that's how it's set up in vanilla Skyrim and there might be a purpose to them that's currently unknown.

This mod can overwrite assorted mesh fixes.
I've recommended your mod on my creep cluster rocky alternative.
