SmoothCam only supports 6 presets that are distinguished by a numerical suffix (i.e., 1 through 6). Unfortunately the mod does not allow you to load arbitrary presets. I haven't messed with it, but I know there is a Papyrus extension that could allow for that type of feature since Proteus allows you to arbitrarily name and search for appearance presets. Implementing that feature would be a good quality-of-life improvement for a large number of mods. It could possibly be done by overwriting each mod's MCM. Another option would be to create a new MCM menu with an index of all known mods with presets. A user could load presets through that menu. Both would be a lot of of work.
I do have a question since enjoying it so much for my first time! Do you use Alternate Conversation Camera and if so, do you use any specific settings to make the transition between it and smoothcam a bit smoother?
I recently switched over to Improved Alternate Conversation Camera (IACC). I don't recall changing any settings except the position of the camera. It works well. You can always try lowering fCameraSpeed.
For reference, here's my AlternateConversationCamera.ini settings used with IACC.

Is there any way to hide the crosshair always except in combat? even with unsheathed bow, the option in smoothcam seems not working... P.S. nevermind I checked my old preset and these values hide it, sharing if someone else interested :) (only checkboxes choices needed) https://ibb.co/VHgTyZp
I start with an FOV of 80. The SmoothCam preset will dynamically alter that somewhat (up to 15 or 20) based on conditions of standing, walking, running, sprinting, drawing a melee weapon, drawing a spell and drawing a bow.
Generally, if you want the game to feel more claustrophobic, use an FOV around 75 or so. If you want to have more peripheral vision, increase the FOV to 90 or more.
I use 80 as a base to increase the connection with the character while walking and interacting with NPCs. My preset increases the FOV when drawing a weapon to simulate the character going on heightened alert as to nearby threats. And the preset reduces the FOV while moving to simulate the difficulty one has in focusing on his/her surroundings while moving.
You're welcome! Let me know of any tweak suggestions. I mean, presets are easy to adjust through the MCM, but I'm open to feedback to improve this one.
well I modified a bit already, but I think it's mainly a personal choice and taste matter honestly. I uppered the camera to +10 and I like also on the side, so side view from +60 to +90/100 for ranged. I also minimized le minimum distance to zero and maximized the max distance, also lowered zoom multiplier. What I really can't manage is the camera follow settings, I never messed with them, that's why I am curious to try some presets, got bored of the static camera I was using till now With a bit of personal modifications I really love this preset, it's a GAME CHANGER. Camer really change how you can see the game, without a good preset you can have all enb, supertexture and all, but you lose a lot!
This is just a spur of the moment thing, but I'll consider making a dedicated highlight video. For now, you can watch the video already linked in the description. Or just try it. Cam presets are very easy to load up and test.

Update - going to just take a guess, I just need to change the number at the end of the json file?
