    To Test this mod quickly at the start menu before you load a save or anything hit the tilda key and type the command "coc whiterunexterior01" then run up to the companions fighting a giant and type the command "player.setstage C01 200" to finish the quest proving honor which will allow all the companions to turn into werewolves followed by "TGM" to turn on god mod and then, "player.placeatme 0003DF17 4". Aela and Farkas will turn into a werewolf once their health is low.

      It was compatible either way before its compatible with everything - its just my mod previously didnt use their new werewolf skin for Aela. But now it does if you install the patch for it.

    Hey I seem to be having trouble getting anyone to transform at all when I test it as said at the top of the comments. Aela gets injured and then just kinda stays on the ground. Is this a know issue or just a me thing?

      none of my work has a defect at this time* that said I have no known issues with this mod. If you are using the SPID version then you have a mod that changed the name of the companions which is either due to a translation or something else. If you are not using the SPID version and are using the facial edits version then you need to place it lower in your load order because you have a mod overwriting them and that mod is removing the Werewolf transformation from them.

      How do I check for a changed name? All I have installed is your mod and its requirements. Would Creation Content affect this? There's been no change to her name that I can see in-game.

      My mod has no requirements outside of SPID if you use the SPID version  - it could be that SPID isn't installed correctly or it could be like I said that you have a mod that changed Aela's Name. You can load all your mods in xEdit and just put her ID number (0001A696) in the "Form ID" field in the top left. Then just look for her name and see if a mod changed it. Change it back to vanilla if they did.

      SPID By its nature cannot conflict with anything - you can only break a SPID distribution if you change the core name or somehting of a NPC but like thats not on me I cant do anything about it. You can also try the non-SPID version and load it lower in your load order near the bottom and that would work too.

      im not sure what you mean - if you mean after transformation when he turned back into a human his face was black and looked off then that means you have a problem with your load order/with mods that alter him and it is not a problem with this mod (if you use the SPID Version). This mod only would show you a problem you have with your other mods in this scenario.

      If you use the non-SPID version of this mod it shouldn't happen at all because he cant transform if his facial changes dont take precedence.

      Sorry nvm i fixed it by messing around in vortex, i was using the male npc overhaul, the mod change their appearances to their intended look, but for some reason it turned Farkas into a red guard for a sec.

      of course! Im very easy going about permissions - make it free though! All my mods will be free on Nexus and xBox thats just my personal choice. I have some people in my discord that typically port my mods for me to xBox so if you have any question about how to do it you can jump in quick and ask them if you have questions. Have a great day!

      If this mod picked up a little in popularity I might try to add something like this for you if the desire is there. For some reason I thought there was a dialog from here saying she didnt like the form or use it - maybe that was a mod that added that to her dialog?

      In any case this mod is dead no one is using it so I have no incentive to do anything more with this mod as is. No point on working on something that no one cares for.

    Hi Edmond would this mod still work if you had npc replacer mods for each of the companions? I haven't downloaded this yet wanted to try it out a fresh new save in case I had any problems. Your photos have your npcs looking modded with replacers + armor replacers so I'll assume it works (are those nordwarua companion armor mods?) . Thanks for your mods!

      Well thanks for stopping by and I hope you like it if you give it a go! This mod offers a SPID option and when you use SPID it cant conflict with anything really. You dont alter the base record, and SPID auto gives spells to the NPC. Thats why there is no compatibility section and instead its covered under the mention of SPID in the description page near the top. But to answer your question though the photos I have use the vanilla default armors for all the companions because I like the default armors for them the best. The only change was to the textures and I use aMiddianBorn personally. The faces are unique to but that is the the non-SPID version of this mod. The non-SPID version does alter the base record and gives them a unique face that I made. But again you can use SPID and use any face replacer you want if you dont like mine.

    Aela alone does not work. I found that Aela's EditorID is "AelaTheHuntress", and "Aela The Huntress" is used in the TheBeastWithin_DISTR. Is it my version problem? I am using the 1.597 SE version.
    After changing it to "AelaTheHuntress", Aela can transform normally.

      All my mods don't care about what version you are on. Can you ping me directly via discord so I can work with you on this? Same name as here you can find me in the xEdit discord or my discord chanel linked in the description too.

      I tested my mod again on my end and found no issues please see the spoiler for screenshots showing the test breakdown. My issue here is I NEED to talk to someone like you in real time. It can only be that you have a mod that changed the NPC Name to match the Editor Name which means there is a mod you are using that Breaks SPID and I need to account for it and need to know what mod that is so I can fix it for you. This could be a mod that changed Aela's Name due to a translation or something but again this breaks SPID. My issue remains the same on my end I cant replicate the issue. Everything works as expected and in a deep analysis I see no issues. Please see the breakdown analysis below:

      Starting with xEdit we need to review that I have my test set up correctly. Here we see a mod I created called "Follower Races and NPCs" This mod edits Aela but as you can see there are no spells added to her - I am fully relying on just the SPID version and this is with every mod in my load order loaded up so for a fact nothing else edits her (FYI this means Aela will black face in my testing but thats because I also edit the facegen values so ignore black face)

      Next after I installed the SPID version I now am going to search for my shout using council commands to get the ID value and then select Aela and use the command "HasSpell XXXX" which will return a true value of 1 if she has the shout which will mean SPID worked correctly. As we can see in the screenshot this is a true statement SPID worked correctly and the shout was added

      Finally I need to prove that the shout works as expected by spawning bandit chiefs on my location to damage Aela and put her in a state of rage thus pushing her to transform. As we see in the screenshot this worked. The mod works as expected for my version of SPID which is version 6.4.0 downloaded this year in April I believe.

    dude, i don't know what's going on but it doesn't work. they never turn into werewolves. pls help

      Do the following. First make sure this mod is enabled through a mod manager - also make sure if you are not using the SPID version that the mod is loaded after every mod that alters the companions. If you are using the SPID version then it can be loaded anywhere. At the start menu before you load any game type the following command after hitting the tilda key, "coc whiterunexterior" this will load a unmoded new save game. Then run up to Aela and hit the tilda key and select her - type the command, "addfac 5c84d 1" followed by "setrelationshiprank player 3" This will force Aela to be a follower (she will be a follower by the vanilla game eventually anyway but we are skipping all that to test) then type "help chief 4" this will bring up a bunch of bandit cheif ID's select any one of them and then type "player.placeatme xxxx 4" were the X's represent the bandit chief ID. They will drop her health and make her turn.

      if you do this outside of whiterun* using these commands and she does not turn then you either do not have my mod activated, or you are not using the SPID version and have a mod coming after mine that is altering the companions. The mod will always work otherwise. Keep in mind Farkas and Vilkas will not turn until the quest proving honor is complete and will stop turning after they are cured. Aela will always turn however but never in Whiterun town.

    HI! could you release a version where your and your companions' transformations don't make everyone hostile?It would be nice to have a version compatible with Moonlight Tales.

      It is compatible with moonlight tales..... Its SPID... its compatible with everything....I personally use Moonlight tales myself and this mod...

      Could you make sure that the transformation doesn't make the other NPCs hostile?
      I would like to use the aela as followers, but if she transforms (and kill) in city the bounty will be triggered

      she will not transform in Whiterun already.... she can however transform in other towns. Transformation by vanilla makes everyone hostil. If you are a werewolf and trun into a werewolf in town they will be hostile to you. this is no different. My mod hooks the actual vanilla werewolf transofrmation system. I do not use a workaround or give a illusion of transoformation instead i actually tansform them. that said the vanilla system makes npc's hostile to them. The only thing you can do if you want is make it so she will not transform in the other towns the same way i stopped her from transforming in whtierun.

      It never comes up so there is no reason to spend more time on it really. My wife has played 180 hours and has never had it happen. The only way it could happen is if you have a mod that re-enables vampire attacks because by vanilla they no longer happen so towns are never attacked, and even if you re-enabled those attacks it wont happen in Whiterun and rarely if ever happens elsewhere and only if they have recharged and are able to do it again and only if you havent beat the Companion main quest and only if you havent beat the Dawngaurd main quest only then can it happen. Moreover its what they do before they literally would die. so instead of dying they transform.
