Another Whiterun Castle Bridge
____________________________________________________________________

This started as a desire to give a full 3D model for the treillis along the bridge in front the castle.
You may already know about my allergies in 3D... Yes, there's more than 90° angles ... hum....

Long story short, I share with you, "skyrimers", a fresh and new HQ model of Whiterun Castle Bridge structures, created with care and common sens, polygon wise. Texture wise, well I've try my best within respect to my love for details.

Consistency ADDON:

Included all the 3D models for the Castle exterior walls edited to fit our design.
Beside the dragon-ish heads and the deco trims, they're using your texture set.

Another Whiterun Castle Bridge V2

As I was not very happy with the resolution on the bridge beams, I came up to the conclusion that I'd rather sacrifice on some details (that nobody but me would pay attention to anyway) and rethink the texturing the "old school" way.
(
Let not even speak of artefacts on some edges that I didn't manage to fix...)

So, after many hours of high precision surgery, the end result is:

  • More pixels for our bucks at player character level
  • fewer custom textures and more use of default Whiterun texture paths
  • All model chunks with vertex color (which wasn't the case previously)
  • Finally, (after tones of right clicks) really updated tangent space on all models (yey, you was right)
  • Consistency Addon updated accordingly

Don't worry, guys! We still have our fancy carvings.

Enjoy.

11 years ago the hardware we had available was a limitation for 3D content creators.
Nowadays, it is less and less the case.

Plus we are lucky enough to have some very talented modders in the community who created some goodies to unlock our hardware potential which otherwise would be wasted for an old game like Skyrim.

I strongly advise you, if not done yet, to install the following mods:

.NET Script Framework
Only for SSE, if you want it, downgrade your installation of Skyrim. It's only gonna be a plus.
Once installed, anytime your game may crash, it will create a .NET Script Framework folder in your override directory with crash logs. Pretty useful to have a look at it.

Address Library for SKSE Plugins

SSE Display Tweaks

SSE Engine Fixes (skse64 plugin)

Papyrus Tweaks NG

Skyrim Priority SE AE

Don't forget to twirl open the requirements tab on each mod page and have a bit of reading about it.
(Some of those mods have an ini or other type of settings file.)

Enjoy.
