Word of warning: This mod doesn’t work well with Sacrosanct. Harkon glitches out during certain parts of the fight that I had to use the console to kill him but he was using some of the Vampire Lord spells added from that mod so that was cool. I didn’t get the Harkon mod here because of the conflict which makes me worry for Miraak. I use Abyssal Tides Magic, which gives Miraak and his Cultists spells from that mod. I haven’t fought him yet with these two mods but given my pass experience with Harkon and Sacrosanct, I’m very worried that this late game level boss on Legendary difficulty will be buggy beyond belief.
How can I remove the face reveal? I prefer him to stay masked.
*Edit* I use Miraak Remastered (SE) - A Miraak Outfit and Gear Overhaul. I set that as a master and changed the default outfit in this mod to MiraakRemasterEnchantedSet [OTFT:FE00081D]. That fixed it for me.
well i have officially tried this mod fully. and i gotta say when you finally get passed the last dragon being killed by miraak. he is fucking hard. i kept getting knocked down on one knee, but one cool thing that would happen as i was just about to die. i was redirected out of apocrypha into solsthime. so i was given the ability to regain my strength and read waking dreams yet again, in order to continue the fight, idk if this was a script added with this mod or the death alternative mod i was using. but it was cool when it happened, because it was like hermaous mora saved my life making it impossible for miraak to take his final blow to kill me, as i was forced out of apocrypha and out of the book into solsthime.
which is realistic if you think about it, miraak the first dragonborn has over a thousand years of experience on the last dragonborn and has been a seeker of knowledge into destroying the dragons and controlling the population through his knowledge and time with hermaous mora. I've got to admit, miraaks plan into concurring the dragons was not a bad strategy. if miraak had the ability to control the population into fighting for his cause. the dragon population could be either eradicated completely. or the dragons would be preserved into being ruled by miraak as he would be their warlord. but as we know hermaous mora didn't want miraak to leave his from his direct control.
i do wish that script of miraak was fully prepared to fight without the need or use of the 3 dragon souls. because it ruins the feel of the overall battle when he is a pussy and glitches out and you have to load back to a save when he is not glitched out. you practically have to help him become stronger by killing the dragons for him. because his pussy ass script won't allow him to kill them on his own.
i have yet to find a mod that corrects this script or simply takes it out of the equation. it will always glitch, you will always have to fight miraak with kid gloves until that last dragon is killed.
on another note: i did find out that this mod is compatible with the miraak follower mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19829 note: you can only use the bend will shout on him after he absorbs the last dragon soul and his health is low.
if this mod and the miraak follower mod were cannon, it would be a great story to add to the elder scrolls lore, simply said the last dragonborn and the first dragonborn would unite their power and rule as kings and gods of tamreal. the gray beards tell the last dragonborn that his destiny is unclear. as he could use his mantle as a ruler for evil, or he could use it for the betterment of man and mer alike.
i never fought harkon with this mod, but Miraak was one hell of a battle, this mod simply put makes Miraak and Harkon stronger and much harder to take down, that other mod i mentioned is called Miraak follower which is also a great mod.
it's good to know that this mod is compatible with the miraak follower mod. question though, which one should load first in the load order? and does miraak retains his powers after being a follower?
