Hi! Can you make a patch for popular mod Great city of Winterhold ? There is a conflict with the location of her house, which makes the quest impossible to complete. So far no one has made a patch. I think many people will be interested in such a patch.
Does this mod only support new games? because if install mid-game, the house will be moved, but the door for open and entering remains in the same location.
Correct, if you use the existing door/house and then add this mod, the game will keep the door in the original position. I do not know how to workaround the game's limitations so this will be for new games for the foreseeable future.
Bonjour! As much as I'd have loved marrying Ambriel (because what makes her so special)... in game, I didn't succeeded having that mod working, while any other pretendant was willing. I tried everything, all mods you suggested even all extra Ambriel's mods off. No dice. Thanks for trying though!
That's an Issue with the original mod, you probably have a mod conflict . Ambriel works fine for me and many others, I provided video evidence that my mod works as intended. As I said on the description please keep issues with the original mod on that page and not this mod's page as it's irrelevant here.
It looks like a few have been having this problem including myself. I've reached out to the mod author, but to no avail. That's why I was asking you, if this somehow fixed that.
Oh I see, I misunderstood. No, I did not do anything to alleviate any issues people were already having with the courier. I never experienced any issues with Ambriel personally so I wasn't able to troubleshoot why others have that issue, my best guess is a conflict with a dialogue mod like maybe GDO? But that's a guess.
Sounds like it would be a mod conflict to me as well. I very rarely have ever had those kinds of bugs. Am I just lucky? I think it is because I have learned to resolve conflicts with Xedit, and do so. Most problems I see people complaining about, are from what I believe, two main sources.
The first is load order/asset order conflicts that need to be resolved using LOOT, a mod manager that allows you to easily manipulate a mods assets, and Xedit, to see record conflict and resolve them.
The second is adding and deleting mods on an ongoing save. I have no advice about that beyond just don't do it. It's well enough documented already.
If I have any advice at all, it's "learn to use Xedit". It isn't a miracle cure for everything, but it is a solution for a lot of issues.
If you use any mod that skips the intro you will have this issue, try on a new game without any mod that modifies or alter the game intro and you should start the Ambriel quest without problems.
No, it does not work. There will be conflict. Her house will disappear into the fortress wall of Great City of Winterhold. Relocation of the house is required.

I prefer Cities of the North - Winterhold, but The Great City of Winterhold is incredible! And the patch mixing the two is sooooooo good too =D
TGC Winterhold -> ✔️
CoTN Winterhold -> ✔️
I have the problem but I installed mid game before I started her quest.

It does not conflict with the Lost Patches.
It does need a new game. If you know how to clean your save, you could try that too.
Ambriel - Realm of Lorkhan Alternate Start patch
I've linked to you as well, although I think you're going to pop first for most users :D
You are thanked a thousandfold anyway for your work and dedication!
Relocation of the house is required.
