With this mod, you can gain perk points from:
🧍 Player Level Progression
🐉 Slay Dragons
🔥 Soul Conversion Spell - found in High Hrothgar.
⚠️The first thing you should do is select the progression mode. It is permanent choice so choose carefully!
• Independent Skill Progression
Grants a perk point when any single skill increases by the set amount. For example, if start and interval are 25, you’ll earn a perk point at Alchemy 25, Alchemy 50, Destruction 25, Destruction 50, and so on — calculated per skill independently
• Cumulative Skill Progression
Grants a perk point when the total combined skill level increases by the set amount. With an interval of 25, you might level Destruction by 10, Alchemy by 10, and Sneak by 5 — together adding up to one perk point.
• Player Level Progression
Gain a perk point each time your character levels up by the set interval, starting from your chosen starting level. The perk point is granted after you close the level-up menu.
You will receive perk point initially at Starting Level, and then subsequently at increments of Level Interval.
(Start = 50, Interval = 25) = Perk points at 50, 75, 100 skill level.
ESL Flagged
Do not update from 'Skills For Perks' (v1.42) to 'Complete Perk Points Control' (v2.0b) mid-save. Start a new game instead to avoid issues. The mod has changed significantly, and updating mid-save can cause problems
FAQ
Will I receive perk points or perks?
Perk points.
When I'll get perk points?
When you meet level requirements or pass it.
Is there a chance that if I level up multiple times at once, I won't receive perk points?
No, the mod saves the perk points awarded and checks how many times the specified conditions were met.
When I'm in the menu during leveling, such as when training Speech, does it still count?
Yes, leveling up in menus still counts.
Do I get extra perk points when disabling and re-enabling?
No, you won't receive additional points this way.
Some advice?
To bring the most joy out of the mod, consider disabling skill experience, preferably with the use of an Experience mod.
To do:
Cumulative Skill Progression - When a skill is made legendary and its level resets, I’m not sure how to accurately track how many perk points should be earned from that point onward. In this progression mode, I don’t store individual skill point progress - I only track the total combined levels. One possible solution is to record how many levels each skill has gained, but that would require additional global variables per skill, so I’ll need to think it through further.
Changes:
1.42 Legendary skills give perk points
Skill cap (if using skill uncapper so the mod knows what levels to reset)
Installation:
Mod manager: Download and install by preferred mod manager
Manual: drop Scripts folder and .esp to Skyrim Special Edition/data/
Compatibility:
Compatible with almost every mod, it runs when the skill level and player level increase, after a dragon soul is absorbed, and modifies the cell in High Hrothgar.
