Parallax has a few basic requirements. Check the description, there are links to other Vanilla Complex Parallax mods that provide everything you need to get started. Download all of them. You also need a few other mods: a dynamic snow mod like Better Dynamic Snow 2.11 - Definitive Edition, as well as the bug fix mods Terrain Parallax Blending Fix and SSE Engine Fixes. You can choose between ENBSeries or Community Shaders for the shader features that enable parallax. Remember to disable the vanilla snow shader(bEnableImprovedSnow=0) and enable land shadows(bDrawLandShadows=1) in SkyrimPrefs.ini, these changes are required for parallax. These should be all you need for it to at least work correctly, and you can build up your mod choices from there.
When i activate this mod this happens only when i have some distance from the building and it fixes itself when i am close to the building (i have auto-parallax and complex parallax shadows) anybody has the same problem?
Same here with some building textures and a signpost outside Whiterun. Same problem with the "GiantObeliskBlue02_MountainSlab" with the "Vanilla Complex Parallax Clutter and furniture" mod. Using Community Shaders Complex parallax and autoparallax.
Same. Not sure if it is height map issue or lod issue. I have disabled the parallax meshes on the roof parts on some and that fixes it, but it is tedious
Update: Using Assorted Mesh Fixes Parallax meshes has alleviated a lot of the issues.
Here is what I did to solve the problem in MO2 : Created an empty mod where I moved all the meshes from the "Vanilla Complex parallax" mods and moved it above all other mods while the textures stayed under all other mods
these grey issue bug appears when a mesh is linked to a parallax texture or better to say is flagged for parallax but you don't use for that mesh part a parallax texture. Easy fix for this: a) either install or create for every diffuse texture a parallax texture as well or b) even more easier: install: Auto Parallax - which is an SKSE plugin that scans the mesh and textures you have. So on these parts where you don't have the _p textures or the mesh isn't correct flagged will show up as usual (flat) texture.
Chiming in to say I have the issue as well. I've tried a lot of workarounds with no luck. One weird thing I noticed is that opening the console and clicking the affected objects fixes their textures.
When the LOD of a building becomes white, the roof part etc. might become white when the LOD is changed by mods such as HD Lods Textures, etc.I solved this problem by disabling it.Other areas without parallax textures are still white, but I disabled the mesh in those areas.
I have been experiencing the white textures as well. It has been odd because it only happens sometimes. I looked at one of the meshes (wrstablewallbackstr01.nif) having the problem and noticed that the TriShape has parallax enabled (flag and texture) and also has an AlphaProperty. I am pretty sure having an AlphaProperty set with parallax enabled causes the problem.
That can't be the case, because I don't have this problem in my game, and not everyone is experiencing this issue. It must be something related to a mod or INI setting that some people are using.
I had problems with white textures when loading. But maybe that update fixed it.
Are you going to update the rest of your mods from the same series? For example, in the yours Landscape Parallax, the lying trunks of small trees were also white
Farmhouses mod have that problem too with planks (something like that, as far as I remember)
The textures look the same as the screenshot from below marrano666
I don't have this issue, and I don't know how to reproduce it, so I can't do anything about it. I suspect it is a problem with another mod that people are using.
Hello! One question... I want to go back to Skyrim, is there a mod that does this same thing but for all the cities, towns and ruins in one file? I don't have much time to look for mods and patch them like before, if anyone knows, thank you very much
There isn't, but this mod is not designed to need patches. You should load this early and let other mods overwrite it, it's designed to be a baseline. There are links to each part of vanilla parallax that's currently available in the description.
What this mod reminds me of is how Halo CE's original textures were broken when they were ported over to PC by Gearbox -- an issue which persisted in the Anniversary Edition and in the Master Chief Collection -- which almost led to the original look of the game being forever ruined. The textures looked great on Xbox, but the bumpmapping (among other things) was completely broken, making them look dull and flat and lifeless. Similarly, the textures of the og Skyrim were well done. But they have become a lot more dated. However, this mod reinvigorates Skyrim's natural appearance, giving it that extra depth that really breathes new life into the game. Very well done!!!!!!!! :DDD
Can't express how awesome these mods that you are making are. They look so great, especially when paired with the vanilla upscaled texture mods. Hope you keep on making these! :D
You, friend, are Talos' sent and Azura blesses the path you walk. May you take your place in the halls of Sovngarde, where the brave might live forever!
Yeah. I'm also going to release a few more versions of the blending fix so people can deselect whiterun in case they don't have textures for it and don't want to install these.

Installed
Assorted mesh fixes and the parallax patch
Parallaxified Major Cities Mesh Overhaul
above everything (including vanilla complex parallax meshes)
And made sure that meshes necessary for some mods where not overwritten (like the double beds for spooning)
Everything looks fine and parallaxed until now
Hope this helps.

I don't have this problem, to be clear:
Endorsed
