Because I've been getting a rather noteworthy influx of comments of the "asking a question that has already been answered in the description" genre, I feel like I have to put this disclaimer here (I doubt anyone will read it anyways but whatever, maybe it'll save me some headache).

If you have an issue with or a question about the mod, please for the love of god read the description first! You don't have to read the entire thing, just the FAQ, known issues, and compatibility sections!

I try to answer everyone's comments, but if you notice I ignored your comment, this is probably why. Either that, or I don't know how to help you.

Hi, thanks for the mod. The animations are amazing!

The only issue i found is that mlh_selfchargeloop.hkx animation is missing for right handed illusion spellcasting, so there is a buggy transition when casting a self-beneficial illusion spell.

    I prefered the FOMOD...

The OAR menu is too confusing and has no images to preview. Makes the customization process even more tedius than before

It's really not that bad, just spend 5 minutes figuring it out. It's a one-time expense of effort. The FOMOD didn't even have images either.

When my character moves with magic it still has the vanilla animations for the hands, is there a way to fix this?

Does anyone else feel like the shields take up a LOT of space on the screen? Is there any way I can lower them or would I have to completely alter every single animation?

You would have to alter all of the sword+shield, axe+shield, mace+shield, and dagger+shield animations. I'll probably change it in 1.6 since everyone and their mother is saying the same thing. I fine-tuned it extensively during development and thought it was acceptable but apparently not.

I don't mean to upset you with that, I'm sorry if I did. The animations themselves are freaking fantastic. That is personally my only nitpick.

No need to apologize my friend, you didn't upset me at all, and I apologize if I came across that way. That was my attempt at being "funny" after I had just woken up, so I must have accidentally come across too harsh. Sorry!

You didn't, I just don't want you to think I'm ungrateful. Your animation skills are seriously impressive!

so quick (i hope) question, i selected the non thrust options for both the one and two handed sword, yet the forward power attack is still a thrust
    am i doing something wrong?

i saved the changes and made sure none of the thrusting options are on

The thrust options only affect light attacks. The power attacks for sword+shield are currently always thrusts.

does this also count for 2 handed swords cause thats my main issue (where the forward power attack is a thrust), unless it's animations that didn't properly uninstall from a different mod in which case i'm sorry for taking up your time

Theoretically, you have to do nothing. CFPAO doesn't touch the finishers at all. So, whatever issues you're having with those are very likely ones I cannot help you with.

for some reason i can't get the jab animation to work. I uncheck the hook animation, then check the jab animation, and save both options, but when I try it out, it still just looks like a hook. is there something I'm missing?

Are you switching the transition animations as well?

How do you choose different versions of the animations? When I installed, it didn't give me options to choose. I dont see options in game either so I am kind of lost to choose what animations I want.

Edit: Nevermind, I read further down the FAQ

Edit 2: So a new issue. How do you save your configs in the animation menu? I know it says to save the config at the bottom and I do see the button but it's grayed out and doesn't allow me to save after making changes.

First you have to be in User Mode, then you can save modifications for every single animation. So if you disable/enable an attack animation, under the info box of this single animation there is its respective "save as user" button. Hope this helps. Edit: See Thijmen2017's and FatAngryOrc's original thread regarding this

You aren't supposed to scroll to the bottom of the mod, rather the "submod." When you enable or disable an option, click on said option to open a dropdown menu. Scroll to the bottom of the dropdown and you'll see "Save submod config (User)" — that's the button you're looking for.

That is indeed not my mod. I did extensive testing during development and greatswords do not use unarmed idle animations, I would have noticed.
