MO2 VERSION 2.5.X MIGHT NOT BE FULLY COMPATIBLE YET DO NOT RUN PACT THROUGH MO2, JUST RUN THE EXE READ THE README, THAT'S WHAT THE README IS FOR
TROUBLESHOOTING PACT SHOULD ONLY CLEAN ONE ( 1 ) PLUGIN AT A TIME AND ONLY HAVE ONE ( 1 ) INSTANCE OF XEDIT OPEN IF YOU ARE USING MOD ORGANIZER 2, MAKE SURE THAT MO2 IS COMPLETELY CLOSED BEFORE RUNNING PACT - If you keep getting ❌ ERROR : PLUGIN IS DISABLED OR HAS MISSING REQUIREMENTS... for every plugin, close PACT and open XEDIT yourself, you'll likely see that Patreon / Support reminder pop-up message, select don't show for a while and close the pop-up, then exit XEDIT and start PACT again, it should now work. Many thanks to user formamid for pointing this out.
- If any plugin takes longer than *5 minutes* to clean, PACT will automatically close XEDIT and skip that plugin. (You can adjust the timeout value. If it occurs, the plugin will be also added to the ignore list in PACT Ignore.txt)
If you get a message in XEDIT saying "Exactly one module must be selected for Quick Clean mode", this means either:
The plugin name is invalid. Simply press OK to close XEdit and PACT will continue cleaning other plugins.
You didn't set the Mod Organizer 2 exe path correctly and PACT is running in Vortex mode instead.
If you get an error in MO2 saying "This application failed to start because no Qt Platform...", this means either:
You are trying to run PACT with MO2 already open. Don't do that. Close all MO2 instances and run PACT normally.
Your MO2 might be missing some files. Make sure to reinstall latest 2.4 version of MO2 or try the portable version.
If you get an error in PACT saying "AttributeError: 'CrashLogLabeler' object has no attribute 'finder'.", you should:
Tip if you do run MO2 2.5 alpha: Install MO2 2.4.4 in a separate directory (I call mine MO2 Legacy) and point PACT at that MO2 executable. It will work, but when you open 2.5, it will give you that category upgrade screen, just click ok (optionally copy the nexus categories again).
updated to latest version am running it directly from download folder set load order txt file try to run says i cant run it when mo2 is running to close mo2. problem is mo2 is not open i even went as far as to check in task manager that nothing mo2 related is open. again not running through mo2, mo2 is completely closed only thing relating to mo2 is load order txt file. super stumped on this any help is appreciated thanks.
ok getting somewhere fixed all the paths but says need qt executable now. think im going to basically uninstall this then reinstall this then start over swapping from vortex to mo2 might have borked something.
ok is now trying to work loads everything but says needs qt plugin is not initializing so each time it tries to clean a plugin i get the error qt plugin not initializing. super stumped still giving up for today will try more tomorrow.
For those who might be struggling with this. 1. It won't work with the laterst MO2 - download and install MO2 ver 4.4 to a temporary directory. 2 Download and install the latest XEdit. 3. Download and install this mod to a temporary directory. 4. If you don't want to scan all your mods copy loadorder.txt or plugins.txt to a temporary directory. Edit your chose file and remove any mods you do not want scanned. Run PACT and point the load order, MO2 location, and XEdit location to you temporary files. Should run correctly it did for me....
I just really got into modding, got a shiny new gaming computer(Been threatening to build one for years) and figured I'd cut my teeth on Skyrim, figuring that every problem I could have, someone else already has. Cleaning files was immediately my bane and this just probably saved my sanity.
Guys, if you have the same problem as me with this error: ""Exactly one Module must be selected for Quick Clean mode", then you could do this:
1. open registry editor (Win+R, regedit) 2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>Bethesda Softworks 3.change the directory of skyrim on the right panel.

edit: confirmed working with v 2.4.4
