The original KS Hairdos SSE mod had an update on 17 May 2025 to v.1.10. Does this mod need an update? Looking at it in xEdit, it appears that it DOES need an update since the new hairstyles from the update are not there.
It did work well with KS Hairdos v.1.9 (20 Feb 2022).
Thanks for the heads up, update is up. This file cannot be flagged or even compacted for ESL. Remember this is an ESP replacer (because it's identical to the original, just with all hairs disabled so it makes no sense to waste a slot with a patch) and the original is also not ESL. Even if it was possible to compact and flag, it would break any mods depending on the original or this version.
Hey, that was fast! I see you updated the description page as well. You are absolutely correct re: the ESL info.
I will test this when I get my game back up after maintenance.
My mod manager, MO2, is not alerting me to the new update because, while you updated the version number to v.1.10 in a few places, the top of the page still thinks you are on v.1.0. Many will not know about the update until that is changed, too.
Thanks for the swift update. It is good to see you still available!
Unfortunately this was extremely time consuming and I don't personally use Apachii's Hair. If I ever get some extra free time I'll see if I can do it, but no promises.
with all due respect, removing the playable flag from all hairs in the esp takes just a few clicks / only a few seconds in xEdit. i fear you may have done things the long way? select all head parts, right click > compare selected, and right click any playable flag > remove from selected records.
@Petty7, here's the Apachii plugin you asked for with the playable flags removed. let me know if there are any issues downloading.
Nah, it's all good, I've been having issues with SSEditt for a while (many times the right pane comes up blank and I no longer have the patience to troubleshoot that anymore) and when I did this I kept a personal plugin with some hairs still enabled (mainly short ones that I have never found with SMP anywhere else) so I still had to look for the individual styles making sure the attached extra parts (like hairlines) remained playable. So I unfortunately had to do it the long way. I of course didn't waste time removing flags from extra parts (hairlines and such) since that's not necessary but still was a bit tedious.
ah, i understand! i just thought of how many hairstyles are in there and went "oh no", haha. i totally get wanting to keep some styles intact. the way i went about things is pretty nuclear for sure. i'm sorry your program isn't cooperating! was just hoping to help without stepping on any toes. thank you for replying, and for the mod - i honestly never even thought about it but it's a great idea!
It's all good, I appreciate you taking the time to upload the Apachii file for Petty7.
Yeah, My SSEDIT issue is insanely weird. Copying records into a new file results in the blank right pane when attempting to look at the records, but the weird part is if I save that same new plugin and then I open it on another program like zedit and save it there and then go back to SSEDIT then it works. Comparing records and similar operations also return a blank right pane. I reinstalled it on a different folder right at the root of the C drive with the same results. And I get the same results if I run the program by-itself (outside of MO2) Also elevating with admin rights does nothing. I also tried granting myself full read/write rights to the folder trough WIndows security options. I don't know where SSEDIT stores its settings (win registry or some random folder under appdata maybe?) but I'm thinking deleting its current settings might help. I'm starting to think it might be an issue with Windows 11.
I can add Apachii to my mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/101120
I use a separate ESP, not a replacer, so I may add KS Hairdos also. I've also had a request to add vanilla brows as an option. I'll see what I can do in the next day or so.
I'm definately downloading this, I'm really glad someone has made it
I'm like you I only use smp hairstyes on my character and only have KS hairdos because some NPC mods require it, it will be nice to not have Race menu Hair category so cluttered and to get to the hairs I actually use quicker.

It does not seem to be ESL flagged, either.

That's what I get for updating early in the morning :P

Btw. Aylis added it to her guide for Skyrim (she loves it too).
