1.31 Patch notes: Safe to Update HOWEVER... you may need to click on him in the console and type "resetinventory" if hes naked when loading in. I had to remake his armor to fix the bug where he refused to switch.
Features Added:
- New combat styles (melee/ranged/mixed)
- Set follow distance (close/mid/far)
- New time of day greetings
- Retexturing of default armor
- Including bodyslide files for HIMBO again
- Follow package edits for dynamic world interaction
- Should switch armor much easier now
Long has the unswitchable armor been a problem, and long have I ignored it. It should be fixed, now.
1.32:
I normally don't "partially" update for major content if I can avoid it, but maybe you'll enjoy the preview of how in-depth I am making the Dawnguard stuff. 100+ lines just for the first quest, and I'm not even close to approaching the scope of it. I posted this update for the names I added for people that donated to The Trevor Project, so if you don't care about that or the Dawnguard DLC, probably not worth an update. Yet.
1.33:
Some of the scenes had... wonky conditions. I have idiot-proofed them. do not expect another update until I am done with Dawnguard entirely.
1.34:
I found the mythical "writers block." To be honest, I hate the DLC. Sorry. The whole maguffin trope just sucks, and as badly as I wanted to keep doing it, it wasn't fun anymore. I decided to take a short break and instead do the "platonic" interlude, though it's available to anyone, even the folks that started the romance. Just ask him if he wants to see anything in particular in Skyrim when youre taking a break, obviously after finishing the second main quest in his line. This will start "Nest Left Empty," and you'll be all set. This update is safe to uh... update. Some other things i did:
-More Dawnguard scenes and content.
-Revoiced more than 500 lines.
-General bug fixes, though some of the stuff being reported that's going on in VR... uh, I have no idea how to help you.
-Boring s#*!.
1.4:
-New Main Quest Interactions
-Some bugfixes
-Patched a certain nearby menace spawn to start dead so he doesn't interfere with Quest 2.
-Reworked/Revoiced a lot of lines
1.41:
-Mesh fix
1.42:
-Dialogue Fix.
1.43:
Main quest fail-safing for scenes.
requires a new game. this is from weeks of not sleeping. youll be okay. I understand starting a new save sucks. If you don't want to, just keep the Gore you have. Wait until you finish that play-through. This version of Gore is a lot better if you pick him up early, anyway. But do not come in asking "well if I do x, can I avoid a new save?" The answer is no. This update bent me over and f*#@ed me and several of the play-testers and our free time for weeks, who spent their time spoiling the new content for themselves instead of playing the game, like you were. This update dwarfs anything you have seen before. You will likely never see all of it, and will only understand the scope of it if you are finished with a play-through. As I said, the old Gore is still there if you are on an existing save, only update if starting a new game. I have always said I would never ask you to start a new game unless I truly believed it was worth it.

[/spoiler]
- numerous, probably countless bug fixes.
- updated appearance. (thanks to khisartin from the dds workshop for the facial hair and scar textures, and lemonbalmtea and Kalilies for the hair.
- continuation of interlude.
- thousands of lines revoiced for as much audio fidelity as i can eke out of this mic.
- patchless support for alternate start mods (Scenes approaching Helgen)
- reworked idles. I cannot stand the repetitive idle system in this game, so i nerfed the ones that are "generic" into obscurity, and recorded at least one for every exterior and interior cell in the game. This may function differently if you use mods that alter commentary rates.
1.501:
- fixed a trigger issue with Dawnguard.
- properly ended Molag Bal quest for now, will touch on it more later.
1.502:
- fixed repeating meeting Auri dialogue
1.503:
- fixed Gore teleporting during To Free a Raven (Nexus is struggling tonight, sorry about the multiple uploads per file. Some aren't uploading fully, I guess.)
1.504:
- reupload since the nexus was being strange last night, and some skin and hair and texture edits
1.505/1.506:
- fixing Dawnguard triggers
1.507:
FINALLY! Pate has a voice! Thank so much to Dan Johnson, who did a wonderful job voicing and breathing life into Pate! If you want to reach Dan, his website is danjohnsonmusic.us

1.509:
A cumulative bugfix. Reworked chosen force greets from the dawnguard, and added an option to tell Gore to "snap out of it," along with an immersion destroying warning that doing this at the wrong time may very well break scenes. If you are stuck, and Gore has no dialogue, USE THIS OPTION.
1.508:
added dialogue under tactics to turn on/off his catch-up teleport script
Removed 90 ITMs
1.51 Patch Notes:
Bug fixes for Dawnguard primarily, as well as a few main quest scenes.
Safe to update if coming from 1.5x, otherwise, if a much older version.
1.512 Patch Notes:
Finally fixed force greet for going with the dawnguard
1.513 Patch Notes:
A small but urgent fix for gore's interactions with house of horrors
1.514 Patch Notes:
Fixed a strange bug with dismissal
Removed limping animations entirely
Fixed a bug with Jarl Balgruuf
1.515 Patch Notes:
Fixed a strange bug with Pate's dialogue not starting
1.517 Patch Notes:
Fairly comprehensive bug-fix as I begin to finalize my content for Gore's Vigilant add-on. This is probably the "Stability" version, and the one that will be supported until the next major update (pending any necessary fixes that spring up, of course.)
1.518 Patch Notes:
- Removed Taliesin interactions until they are finished
- Fixed Fear and Loathing start-up
- Fixed Kynesgrove idle
Most stable 1.5 version.
1.519 Patch Notes:
fixed an error that would cause the hyper-sensitive tyranus alias not to fill on the vanilla Molag Bal quest
set "Snap out of it!" dialogue to only appear when it's relevant variables were conflicting with generic Gore dialogue
Expect a thorough rework and integration of "Fear and Loathing" when the Vigilant patch drops (soon.)
please check the bug reports/change logs before submitting a new one.
1.521 Patch Notes:
Simple but thorough fix for Redwater Den/Dragon Rising
1.522 Patch Notes:
re-voiced many generic lines/intro
cleaned/optimized most quest scripts for gore's personal quests
began reworking quest-line scenes, starting with main quest (optimization)
redid personal quests for better flow
Plan is to optimize, re-voice, take stock, and reform before continuing. oh, and we hit 3K lines, nice!
1.523 is just names from the trevor project donations being added. I'm on a break! Thanks for helping get us where we are now.
1.525:
This update was intended to be a massive update, planned for many more features and updates. I mostly wanted to go back and make everything more superfluous, to clean up bugs, and revoice hundreds of lines. I did accomplish this, but unfortunately I didn't get to fully flesh out the romance update. There is no quest marker, and due to sudden, severe changes in my personal life I had no way of seeing, I am currently caring for my three-year old son by myself. Unfortunately, I cannot, and do not want to work on Gore right now given these circumstances, so I will have to finish most of this later. For now, packages, scenes, quests have been fixed, revoiced, redesigned for more sensible flow, and bugs addressed. You can set a home for him once youre close, and if you've done the romance interlude, you can go to that funny looking rock on Lake Illinalta's shore here (https://imgur.com/a/6JGWfcJ) and you can have a very special day I designed to spend with Gore. All of this is safe to update. I will be back when I can. I love you all, and thank you. Genuinely.
1.5.26 Fixed a quest marker not filling, added a quest marker to the new romance update, fixed a minor error with NPC dialogue.
1.5.27 Added a proper quest marker for the Romance Update
1.5.28 Objective hotfix
1.529:
Meant as a small bug-fix before I once again jump back into the fray of working on this mod. I recently upgraded my audio recording equipment to the legendary Shure SM7B with a Motu M2 mixer, and a Dynamite pre-amp. Needless to say, I'll be re-recording a lot of material first and foremost. I don't want any new content to sound out of place or for there to be dips and peaks in audio quality. Nothing irritates me more, personally. Next up on the chopping block, if I am being honest, is Glenmoril. I've been putting it off, much like I did with Vigilant, and before that, Gore himself. Time to dust off and get to it.
1.53:
- Fixed Redwater Den scene so Gore doesn't show up if he's a stranger
- Fixed Thalmor Embassy scene so Gore doesn't show up if he's a stranger
- Fixed Shadowveil scene so Gore doesn't show up if he's a stranger
- Fixed Silverhand Stronghold scene so Gore doesn't show up if he's a stranger
- Fixed Sanguine's Quest scene so Gore doesn't show up if he's a stranger
1.531:
- Fixed Castle Volkihar scripts
- Fixed Dark Brotherhood kidnapping scripts
- Added several new goodbyes, hellos, idles, sneak lines
1.532:
- Fixed Sanguine scripts
- Fixed bug where Gore does not interact after finishing The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller
VIGILANT 1.04:
- Fixed inconsistencies
HPH:
- Inconsistencies
1.533:
- Revoiced most early quest-line lines (this is still a WIP)
I have upgraded my recording set-up, so they may sound a bit different. I am using a Shure SM7B, a Motu M2 Mixer, and a Dynamite pre-amp now, so I am still going through to revoice so that new lines i add in the future dont sound completely out of place. I also added several new lines to pad out certain dialogue options.
- Updated all files to use the new BNP 2.0 skin for men, including Vigilant, the high poly file, and his original appearance.
thanks to swerifida for still allowing me to use these files <3
Thanks ramoram for pointing out these errors. Updating the old scene scripts to the one I used for Vigilant add-on scenes, ended up inevitably missing a few. I wish I knew what I know now when I made Gore initially! This is why I consider all of you so important and just as much a part of this project as me, though. Especially since I rarely get the time to play or test things any more, meaning I am bound to miss some things. Thanks all for the continued support and help!
1.534:
- Updated to support my Alternate Perspective addon. PLEASE READ THE ARTICLE!
1.535:
- For some reason, unknown to all but Todd, touching completely unrelated areas of the mod broke quest 2, so i streamlined it and actually managed to iron out a ton of bugs i didn't have the skill to address previously. Thanks, Todd!
1.536:
- Revoiced encounter with Pate and first interlude, some idles, etc.
- Fixed an error with quest objectives not updating
- Fixed an error with the button in Dimhollow not triggering commentary from Gore
- Removed OStim integration between Gore and Farengar
1.537:
- Fixed missing trigger boxes
1.538:
- Fixed missing Dawnguard Scenes
SKIP VAMPIRE LORD TUTORIAL PATCH IS NO LONGER NEEDED!!!
1.539
Camping update. Features added:
- End your day through the planning menu with Gore's dialogue and go to a campsite with him.
- Gore offers to hunt creatures based on your region.
- Meals cooked for you that provide very slight 24hr buffs to attributes.
- Spare parts from said meal will be donated to you on arrival at camp.
- Relax in camp with Gore, rest, craft, harvest alchemy ingredients, and let him know when you are ready to go back to Tamriel.
- Camping only accessible in the wilds.
- Conversations unique to camp as you progress his quests and your own.
- Repeatable romance interactions at camp. (No, not sex, lmao.)
1.541
- Fixed broken quest markers
- Just in case, you can now have Gore lead you to both interludes, platonic and romantic, and have him lead you to the date following the romantic interlude.
- Added a patch for Alternate Perspective and Vigilant to solve conflicts. Load after both, totally safe to update.
- Fixed conflicts between Vigilant and Main File.
- Fixed Conflicts between Alternate Perspective and Main File.
1.542
- Added a lesser power that moves you to camp in case the dialogue script does not work. This power is available after you tell him what to hunt, and it disappears after you tell him you are ready to leave camp. It is not available all of the time. Every single time someone has reported they are not taken to camp through dialogue, it has been fixed by moving Gore.esp higher in their load order, though. Every time.
If you are experiencing this issue, know this: You need to load Gore.esp as high as possible in your load order. My next step is flagging it as an ESM in a future update. That should help with these load order issues. Load Gore.esp as high as possible, and any of his patches very, very low, especially his alternate perspective patch
1.543
- Crafting furniture is disabled until you finish Gore's horse quest, to save his poor back from carrying all of that. Unrealistic!
- Added 4 new craftable meals, including 2 that can be found in every province.
1.545
- Fixed a series of bugs that are likely too niche to bother listing. I am currently trying to stamp them all out before continuing his quests.
- Revoiced a litany of lines, added a few here and there for flavor.
1.545
- Added a new flask system to the camp. You can ask gore about what else he can craft, and he will give you a health flask with 5 charges that replenish that evening when you return to camp. Thank you to ElSopa for the flask models!
1.546
Last small update for a while. The next update will be a ways off, likely 1.6, and likely a month or two away. Thanks for sticking around while I try and squash the last of these minor bugs.
- Fixed a small misc. quest marker not clearing
- Fixed flask duplication
1.547
I lied.
- Added a small ceremony scene for the romance quest line. Ask him about marriage at camp, then talk to him when hes relaxed at an inn. Follow him to Helgen.
- New hand painted facetint. Edited for Vigilant, HPH, and regular file.
- His hair is different, but mostly the same. Ditched the bun thing for a pony tail. It feels more authentic to a guy who just wants his hair out of his face but has no clue how to do it.
- Ensured Gore does not interfere with a certain fight in Act 1 of Vigilant.
1.548
- Added new idles, just a few
- High Poly, no need for the High Poly Head mod any more
- Hand Painted his facepaint
- Fixed a few small errors/bugs
- Vigilant updated with high poly changes
- Vigilant tint masks hand painted
1.549 just fixes the shiny hair bug. My fault OGs.
1.1 for vigilant fixed some inconsistencies.
1.55
- Reworked music, thanks to CaptainCreepy's Still. Thank you for letting me use some tracks!
- Reworked lines, over 250 revoiced lines with the new mic, closing out the complete revoice.
- Reworked camp system, Gore now lets his hair down, wipes off his day's facepaint and puts on a relaxing outfit at camp.
- More player choice in lines, Gore now has more options for player dialogue.
- Alternate death system, Gore will now drag you to camp and heal you when you die (optionally,) giving you the option to return to where you last left to set up camp from. Think of this as an optional mobile bonfire system for player "death."
- More idles, some being quiet, unintrusive ones on a small cooldown to break up the barrage of commentary Skyrim wants NPCs to throw at you.
-Total lean-in and completion of the campsite gameplay loop. Thanks to all beta testers!
1.56: Safe to update (increased cooldown on subtle idles/Conditioned DB commentary to Gore.)
