- Gloomy interior atmosphere achieved with Blackreach creatures and Mushrooms as well as twinkling Falmer cave ceiling.
- Magical influences like floating stairs, uncanny mists, glowing plantlife and a teleport platform for quick ascend to Master's quarters.
- Added magical protection from rain or in siege scenarios to the lower tower
- Bloodroot - a new plantable herb can be found on the premises to fill the graveyard with life. I mean, the garden. Yes yes.
- Prisoners are now well rested and thusly more tasty, scared and tormented. Even have their own hole in the ground.
- Exteriors show signs of Madness and a malicious Presence seeping through the walls.
- Remember the Son of a Horker that nearly cut off your head back at Helgen? Well...I put his Axe on display!
- Cleaned up interiors and freed up space. Removed some leisure-time clutter.
- Snow Elve architecture upvalues the place and upgrades the appearance. The Dragonborn is well-travelled after all.
- Worked over the workstations in the Master's quarters. More dedicated storage, more live feel to it, new marked disrespect for NPC lifes.
- Worked over the forge to appear more tidy, functional, and to conform with the players magical aptitude. Shiny storage Barrel.
- Added an Armory area for Guards on duty with special shield and weapon racks. Not much going on there, populate Yourselves.
- Added functional dual action Display cases, Mannequins and Planters.
- New timed AI Packages based on linkedRef Dawnguard mechanic with the goal to keep Castle staff busy, the castle grounds patrolled, and the bulwark uncrowded especially at nighttime. It's the player's home, the guards are merely allowed to live there...out of sight. They can be commanded to follow now, like good little minions. Documentation on routines included as .txt.
- No more servants chillin' oat in ma hood
- The player char is a bit randy. Female guards are more frequently inside the keep.
- A pet dragon looking with disgust at his fallen kin!
- Occlusion cubes in the walls might even help with FPS around the castle.
- Flaoting stairs remove load-screen to access outer wall.
- Quick-Ascend to Masters quarters via dark magic
- Undress/Redress Mechanic for the Bathhouse
- No, I can't upload the version with "The Armor".
- I left some statics in the free cell space that might inspire more refurnishing. If You delete anything, stay clear of the container pUuuches.

A BIT OF LORE
A place of warmth in golden dawn, for companions and joyful song.
Heartwood Castle, in battle won.
But a timeless lord needs no friends, leaves only housecarl save from fangs.
And she was there, sentient amidst the unaware.
Thus he willed space. And as the room freed up his mind unfurled, until even walls gave way.
And he saw the crevices, sinister and void they prey.
But he dreamt the depths of mountains, Falmer domain, with their ceilings of stars.
And so he brought them, to shine in the cold.
And he remembered Blackreach and elusive worms, glistening in dwellings of husk.
And so he brought them, to writhe in the mold.
But for all his ambition and thirst for creation, his mind was corrupt.
And his corruption spread, giving rise to maddening form, and the shadows turned damp.
Until even the land lay twisted, a feevered dream where life is drained.
Darkwood Castle, newly claimed.
COMPATIBILITY
- Several Castle mods share the same cells. I can only refer to the compatibility section over on Heartwood Castle.
- Contains a Patch for Dark Forests of Skyrim SE v. 2.0. While not required, it blends the landscape better with the new, darker theme of the place.
- Contains an Addon for SKYRIMS DEAD v. 1.0.3. Adds gallows. While not required, it blends the landscape better with the new, darker theme of the place.
- Contains a patch for Beyond Skyrim -Bruma. Darkwood adds bloodroot as plantable item via the FormID List flPlanterPlantableItem. Beyond Skyrim also adds entries, some other mods do too. Each one needs a patch or must be loaded AFTER Darkwood, but You will loose the plantable Bloodrooot.

CREDITS
- SpleenofGod for publishing his Heartwood Castle - I couldn't have built anything like it. I merely redecorated a little, with his blessing.
- Adds the same mechanic for player/NPC undress/redress upon entering the bathing area that is used in Eli's Breezehome. Also adds Jars as containers, based on Statics from Elianora's Breezehome. Permission implied in release, thx!
- The undress/redress script has been changed in Eli's Breezehome Optimization Packages and Patches v. 1.6.3 - I used that one. Thanks to KhrysINXS for it. And thanks to dizietemblesssma for Player and NPC undressing - example scripts for modders, where that script originated.
- Uses an ELFX (Enhanced Lights and FX) dust effect. ELFX not required, no need to overwrite - I renamed the mesh. Thanks anamorfus!
- Uses Gallows with hanged men from nesbit098 as found in SKYRIMS DEAD. His assets are not included.
- DarkFox127 for his tutorials on NavMesh and Landscape Editing - Thanks man!
- Thanks to LordMithro for solving the face-body mismatch und KhrysINXS for MipMaps and for making the Forests Patch work with no Nav Edits!
- MANY THANKS! to Athena in Immortals, for just being so damn hot. I cried a few very manly tears when Zeus got her out alive.
