Incompatible with "Skyrim Horse Renewal Animations" which causes double footstep sounds.
This is not a bug caused by IHSS but a regular behavior of the animation mod, which just doesn't work well with my mod. (Thanks to HaydenDaws for finding this out)
If you have issues with missing step sounds, try this mod: Unofficial Material Fix(Thanks to Zireael1251 for the suggestion)

I'd love to port the mod to Oblivion Remastered but it doesn't seem to be possible for the time being.
So, I am guessing this will get messy if I just overwrite your old version (reg esp) with the new esl flagged version, specifically on an existing playthrough. I was thinking of just removing the esl flag from your new (3.1) version and then overwriting the old plugin, let me know if any thoughts or advice...
Regardless, thanks for one of my all time favorite mods!
Might be a loading order issue or it conflicts with another mod. Try disabling other audio (or horse) mods if you have installed them. If you find out which one is causing issues, i'd appreciate it if you could report back, I set it on the incompability list for now then.
i just started new playthrough in AE (i was from Oldrym before) and always needed to think about ur mod when i ride that horseback. as one member just said one time u used this mod, u will come back bc its a must have silly as this sounds its true :D
I used to work for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), which is government-sponsored caretaking for the elderly and/or disabled (imagine having the services of a nursing home, but in your own house). So when I saw the same acronym being used for this mod, it gave me a little chuckle because I imagined the Dragonborn changing Olava the Feeble's adult diapers or sponging down Octieve San.
When horse armor from the creation club is on the horse the steps are completely silent. I don't really want to mess with my modpack so maybe you can help me before I do..
Great mod, thanks! Added bonus of it completely fixing the "silent/quiet gallop sounds" bug/issue that hits my character but not NPCs/Followers who are also riding horses.
Thank you! I don't think I ever noticed that with NPCs but to be honest I never paid it much attention since I was only concerned with the player sounds. I think why that happens is because NPCs are less prioritized than player sounds, so they get "overwritten" for whatever reason.
I typed that out poorly, I was referring to the bug only affecting the PC while NPCs riding horses sounded fine which was a very peculiar quirk with Vanilla. This mod fixes everything surrounding that bug, no new issues. Thanks again!

Then I grimaced.
Then I shuddered.
