Version 1.1 is split in two versions: Vanilla Projected Diffuse and Custom Projected Diffuse. MM's projected diffuse texture was too dark to use with vanilla settings and made some objects to look blue.
The vanilla version contains some edits that revert the snow lod material to its vanilla settings as well as the vanilla projected diffuse texture. Test this first if it works well with your snow textures. (Check lods, Palace of the Kings and Word Walls)
The custom version edits some snow material objects to have brighter color, to compensate the custom darker projected diffuse map. grab the one that matches your textures from here. From my testing with Skyland, Majesting Landscapes and Skyrim 202x it works good. Feedback is welcome.
For those who have grey/white mountains: It is a compatibility issue with your load order. If either the Material Objects or statics get overwritten, it can cause bugs. This can happen by automated patches (bash, smash etc). Make sure SOS material objects and my mod are not overwritten by anything.
EDIT: For those who use Blender Roads SOS patch and the Customversion of my mod it is OK to load the esp after my mod (since 1.1a the load order should not matter). If you use the Vanilla version of my mod you might have to delete the Material object "SnowMaterialObject1P_original" from the "Blended Roads - Simplicity of Snow Patch.esp" or the snow roads will appear pure white.
Some people are experiencing grey mountains. I can only replicate this issue by incorrect load order and by assigning the mountains a material object with single pass shader. I have seen similar issue with missing parallax textures and read here something similar about better dynamic snow, which should not happen in this case as both MM and SOS have multi pass shaders. I don't know if its a shader cache issue, compatibility with other mod etc as i cannot replicate it any other way. If you find out another way to replicate it please message me. If you have no issues with your load order and getting grey mountains with my mod, do NOT use my mod. Thank you.
is it ok to use the newest version of SOS with your patch? i noticed it was patched for v0.10 while using the patch for MM. just trying to figure out the best way to get snow working for MM and Skyland. going the SOS route for now.
For anyone who has been dealing with the purple mountain problem using this - deactivate Stretched Snow Begone and download Stretched Snow Fix which has a patch specifically made for this mod.
Tell me how I can safely remove the mod? Before I installed it, everything was fine with the mountains. After I installed the mod, and then turned it off and removed it from NMM. Without this mod, now the mountains in the distance are white and not loaded.
I've tried everything to get this patch to work and it's just not happening. This patch used to work fine before and about a year ago after one of the SOS updates it just started causing the grey mountain problem.
Shame because I like what this mod does but it's just too big of a headache.
I just tested with the latest version of SOS and it seems to work fine on my end (not the parallax version). I will look for edge cases again and see if i can find what can cause potential issues.
Edit: I had the gray texture bug, solved it by putting this after Cathedral Landscapes, and then realized the actual problem was I forgot to patch a different mod.
I also fixed mine by putting SOS MM.esp much later in Vortex plugin load order, only before Dyndolod and FWMF plugins. Can't find which plugin was incompatible tho :D
Also fixed by putting this mod ("SOS MM.esp") after "Cathedral Landscapes.esp". I also put both of them after "SunDaytimeNorth_MM_default.esp" because "SOS MM.esp" was being loaded after it, but not sure if that made any difference.

- Majestic Mountains + Skyland Granite add-on (Happens without the add-on too)
- K7 Patches - Mountains Enhanced
- Snowy Surfaces for Collisions and Aesthetics
- Stretched Snow Begone (With BOS Update)
- Simplicity of Snow with the appropriate projected diffuse
I also have Simple Snow Improvement mods, but they mostly touch architecture, objects, and missed rock rubble.
Which mod did you forget to patch?
Without this patch
