Update 1.5: added all other variants of the spell impacts, some cleanup, integrated Thunderbolt fix  to main esp.

The version 1.5 is more compatible with Xila's upscaled version as it no longer includes diffuse maps.
    Load order:
    Deadly Spell Impacts by Isoku
Deadly Spells Impacts 4K by XilaMonstrr
    Parallax Spell Impacts by me

Update 2.0 Beta: fix an issue with ENB's rain wet surfaces, better working specular maps.Spell impacts should now react to light sources better without visual bugs.
V2.0 is not compatible with patches made for v1.0 to 1.5.

Anyone tried that with Blended Roads? For me it goes under Blended roads rocks, but it works on other parallax surfaces, though. Could it be that xLODGen+TexGen+DynDOLOD can mess up this effect?

Hi. I've always used Deadly Spells Impact in a heavily modded game. This time I decided to use your mod along with it because I finally decided to use ENB. Whenever I use the spell "flames" on an enemy the game will freeze, not CTD, but just freeze. This doesn't happen every single time, but more often than not. When I disable Deadly Spells Impact and your mod, the problem goes away. I can cast flames at multiple enemies with no freezes. I will try again with Deadly Spells Impact on, but with your mod disabled to see what happens.

Its not your mod, its DSI.

Thanks very much for posting this. I've also got DSI on a heavily modded game. Intermittent freezes, though connected to destruction magic and looks like flames as well. So strange. Is it possible to just disable / remove flames from DSI and other spells work? I also have FEC installed which ought to be enough.

Same. I updated DSI from 1.7 to 1.9 and found that I got severe stutters during combat. At first I suspected it was caused by enhanced blood textures, visual animated enchants or even the RAM on my rig, but now I reverted DSI back to v1.7 and found the subtle sutters was not that annoying (which I didn't notice before) comparing to v1.9 (freeze for even longer than 0.5 s).

Edit: Ok, I found out the culprit in my case is an obsolete 4K textures for DSI, not DSI itself.

    Hello DarthBlender,

I just wanted to let you know that Doodlum is no longer supporting the mod "Complex Parallax Materials," and it is now hidden on Nexus. From my understanding, they have now made it built in to their Community Shaders mod. Your mod will need the plugin dependencies updated. <3

For some reason even after enabling all the ENB requirements and running parallaxGen , I get purple textures on spell impacts from dragons breath.

Had the same issue. Took me a while to point it down to this mod, but then finding the solution was pretty easy.

Long story short, you need to toggle on (or off) "Two Fire Impacts" option during the installation of BOTH "Deadly Spells Impacts" and "Parallax Spell Impacts".

I didn't installed Deadly Spells Impacts with "Two Fire Impacts" toggled on, but I did with Parallax Spell Impacts. Hence the missing, purple textures.

Also don't forget to turn on the plugin "DeadlySpellImpacts - Two Fire.esp", MO2 disabled it automatically on my end for some reason?

Hello, the decals look so cool!

If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to make the parallax look so good?
Did you edit the parallax further to get such a good effect?
With my attempts on complex material for example moss decals I unfortunately do not get a good effect
I would be very happy if you would reveal your tricks :D

There are no tricks unfortunately. I used the normals to generate the height map (there is materialize and JS parallax filter), edited it in paint.net to eliminate the very sharp transitions. I also followed the tutorial on decal parallax and complex materials. In this case, the source textures were high quality and the result was acceptable. If you want a better result, you can use substance painter, quixel mixel, blender, armor paint or material maker to make the textures from scratch.

How's the compatibility with Artic - Frost Effects Redux and Voltage? Do I have to overwrite them?

If you want parallax effect overwrite them. Since they affect the impact textures they are not compatible out of the box and need to be patched. I will probably make a compatibility patch once i get some issues fixed with this version of the mod.

There will be no patch for Arctic as it uses upscaled vanilla textures (decalfrostimpact01.dds and decalfrostimpact01_n.dds). I will do a Voltage one though,as it has new textures (but not so much variance between them, i think the textures of the Deadly Spell Impacts mod work better with parallax).

Will this mod work on the 1.8 version of Deadly Spell Impacts mod?

I was just about to say a new version of Deadly Spells Impact was released, and maybe we need an update?

      THANKS

It should work fine, the 1.8 of Deadly spell impact was a cleanup update with built in ENB transparency fix. Make sure my esp is loaded after the original and nothing is overwriting my _m.dds textures.

Does this also fix the issue mentioned in Deadly Spell Impacts Transparency Fix for ENB?

Came here to ask the same question, but after a quick look at the file it looks it doesn't fix it so the transparency fix it's still needed but I don't know if it's compatible since it doesn't look like it's 100% matching.
But I don't think it's very noticeable so I'll load transparency fix after parallax spells impacts for now.

EDIT: LOOT says that Deadly Spell Impacts Transparency Fix for ENB is already included in Parallax Spell Impacts.

Would a patch for the decals from Dragon War be possible? Thanks in advance.
