Also by NordwarUA, Legacy of Ysgramor introduces new and unique sets for the Companions and for Skyforge weapons. I've put together a patch, which can be found here.
Have an issue?
Please check to see if there is an open bug report under the issues tab with a similar description. If there isn't (or these is one that has been closed), please open one. It makes it easier for me to track any issues, and helps others co-ordinate if they have a similar problem.
When you make a report, including your SPID and SkyPatcher logs is also greatly appreciated and needed in most cases to work out what is awry. You can find them here: • \Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\SkyPatcher.log • \Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\po3_SpellPerkItemDistributor.log
You can "upload" them to Pastebin, and then link them as part of your report. If your log is too long for some reason, you can truncate the log as necessary (include as much from the top down as possible) and I will let you know if we need more.
Common issues
Naked Guards • If you are using SPID 6.8.2, please upgrade to SPID 7.2.0 • If you are using SPID 7.2.0, please make sure you have all dependencies installed, and that "RMB SPID - Core Definitions.esp" is enabled
Guards wearing Vanilla Armour • If you are using SPID 7.1.3, please upgrade to SPID 7.2.0, as SPID 7.1.3 does not include outfit force-equip!
If you still have an issue, please open a bug report and pop me your logs - thank you!
Version 6.0.0 is a major rework, moving to a new framework demonstrated on the RMB SPID - Core page. SkyPatcher is now required, as it is used to inject armour sets into leveled lists, which are (in turn) used by outfits distributed by SPID.
It is also now compatible out-of-the-box with my patch for Guards Armor Replacer, regardless of what options you pick.
Xtudo's Fixes - Highly recommended
Xtudo has released some fixes for Sons of Skyrim and, as of 24-AUG-23, has also released a version of the fixes .esp that is compatible with my replacer esp. It, along with all of the fixes and additional sets, are highly recommended!
You'll find them all under optional files on the Xtudo Fixes page - please check it out and endorse!
Sentinel Compatibility?
Please see this compatibility matrix. Technically all RMB SPID mods work with Sentinel, but you will have many duplicate items - as such it is recommended that if you blend them, this matrix is used as a point of reference.
For non-advanced users I would suggest choosing either the RMB SPID suite, or just Sentinel.
Per some digging, it appears to be a vanilla bug that affects Stormcloaks. I've thrown together a SkyPatcher based patch here to resolve this. This patch can be used standalone, or alongside my SPID patches. Please give it a try!
I'm confused, on the SPID page it says v.6.8.2 is the last version to include outfit force equipping, yet here we're asked to download 7.2.0 for the outfit force equip feature. Sorry if the answer is something obvious I'm just genuinely confused
SPID 6.8.2 has outfit force-equip, and is the last "Stable" version with it included. 7.2.0RC11 re-introduced outfit force-equip, but is an "unstable" release-candidate.
6.8.2 has a known issue that results in NPCs being (randomly) naked. This is not an issue with 7.2.0RC11.
You can use either/or, I just personally use and recommend 7.2.0RC11.
Hmm, the captured Stormcloaks in the intro all have their axes on them during the execution. No wonder they freed themselves the second Alduin showed up xD
I am trying to get all the guards to NOT wear helmets. I have the "no helmet" set in the FOMOD. I still get about half the guards wearing helmets.
On the MO2 left, nothing is overriding [RMB SPIDified] Sons of Skyrim.
On the MO2 right it appears only RMB SPID - Sons of Skyrim - Xtudo's Combined Armors.esp, which is from this mod, is overriding RMB SPID - Sons of Skyrim.esp.
I'll have to have a look at this - SkyPatcher is being used to adjust the chanceNone. I also see that you're using SPID 7.1.3, so please make sure you're using 7.2.0RC11 or 6.8.2.
Mind, if an outfit was already distributed to an NPC and you change the FOMOD install to "no helmet" they may still have a helmet when you load the save.
I personally use 7.2.0RC11, which I find to be very stable! Saying that, it certainly has some quirks. For example, outfits get changed when transitioning between cells -- which can be odd when it comes to unique/named NPCs. And, to boot, resurrect/resetinventory will revert an NPC to their vanilla outfit.
Mind that 7.1.3 is completely unsupported by me, as it lacks outfit force-equip and results in inconsistent results.
Good news! I downgraded to SPID v.6.8.2 and finally got a chance to test it in a new game. This seems to have basically fixed the issue! Most guards (and some other NPCs) now wear no helmet. A few do wear the helmet, but that is OK.
I can again see most guards faces! That has helped as I test NPC replacer (and other) mods.
i can not get this to work for the life of me, i have all the stuff in the correct load order i think, i even tried putting everything at the end of my load order to see if they would work, i know this is a my end problem, does bodyslide patches load before or after this mod and do rextextures such as complex parralx conflict with this spid patcher?
Hi RMB, Can you please take a look at the 4 dead Riften guards at the Riften Watchtower near Shor's Stone they are still using the vanilla guard armors.
The game wont let me take screenshots while MIC is open so I took photos from my phone. Also there is no "keyword" appearing on the MIC panels the least I can do is show the equipments of these NPC's.
The keywords section is lower down - to get to it, you have to hover over that downward arrow and then click CTRL or SHIFT to scroll down.
Screenshot wise you should be able to use WINDOWS+SHIFT+S, but otherwise what you provided is fine. I'd recommend uploading to imgur.com though and having an album there, to avoid having too much in the comments.
Ok, so the keywords are all correct and as expected, so doesn't appear to be a problem with SPID (unless of course, SPID isn't distributing to dead NPCs for some reason, will look into this).
Last ask - could you upload your SkyPatcher log to pastebin please? You can find it in \Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\SkyPatcher.log.
I absolutely love your mods and all the work you have put into them! I did have one question. Does your updated version make it so that the Whiterun guards will use the Whiterun swords? I notice they are still using the imperial swords so I thought I'd ask.
Hi again RowanMaBoot, I got another question of understanding reagarding buildning my bashed patch now. Under the leveled list part in wrye bash I guess I should delete the NW_Sons_of_Skyrim.esp so it will get ignored while building the bashed patch because no need to at its leveld list entry into it anymore with your skypatcher option.
Hey! It shouldn't matter - the bashed patch has nothing of note to merge, so being included is harmless. The important part is rebuilding the patch after installing this SPID mod, to avoid dirty edits from the old ESP being carried over into the patch.
I can't seem to get this to work properly. I made sure to select both urban and rural distribution but guards are still in their vanilla outfits. Some named npcs like Commander Caius in whiterun and the stormcloaks in Helgen have the new outfits, but regular guards don't. I'm also using your mods for New Legion, Heavy Legion, Vanilla Armor Replacers, and they're all working as intended. Not sure what the problem could be.
Hey - yeah I mentioned in the bug report. SPID 7.2.0RC11 or 6.8.2 are required to get proper/working distribution. Glad it's working for you now though!

Check out this patch made by daken72127.

I do have a Bashed Patch. Could that be it?

I was holding off on SPID 7.2.0RC11. Do you think it is "ready" enough?
As for the FOMOD and Save, thanks for pointing that out. However; I have been choosing no helmet for a while, and am constantly starting new games.
Thanks for taking a look!
For SPID, 6.8.2 or 7.2.0RC11 are mandatory.

Additionally, if it still persists, could you please send me a screenshot of the keywords they are using? Check the keywords section of this guide.

Did you fixed it?
P.S.
Yes indeed it was patched thank you Xtudo.
Great mod, as usual!
Is there a way to distribute only the cloaks? Leaving the rest vanilla.
What do I need to edit to achieve this?
Thanks!
Thanks again!
Thanks!
