not sure if this is just my issue or an issue with spid but its weird when i use an outfit manager and set an outfit for lydia she'll randomly equip he spidified steel armor overriding the outfit i told her to wear
Ah! That is probably due to how SPID 6.0+ works - it attempts to apply outfits when a cell is entered or a save game is loaded. You may want to remove her assignment in rmb_a_steel_fashions_named_DISTR.ini to avoid this issue.
In Lydia's case, you'll want to remove the following line: Outfit = 0x816~RMB SPID - Steel Fashions.esp|HousecarlWhiterun
One request: could we get a patch for housecarls? I've got outfits arranged for them via Nether's Follower Framework, but they get overridden every time I quit out of the game and load back in. Big picture, not a big deal to reset their outfits, but a patch would be the cherry on top!
For now I would recommend just removing the housecarls from "rmb_a_steel_fashions_named_DISTR.ini" or otherwise removing that file. I may upload a patch in the near future with distribution to them removed as well.
Everyone, don't be like me. If I had bothered to scroll down for literally a nanosecond, I would have seen RMB already addressed this. I am shaking my head, tsk tsk...
love the mod so far but found a problem. I started the AE quest for the Orcish plate armor and the bandit that normally spawns with the armor got Spid and got one of the armors from this mod. Resurrect or resetinventory didnt work so i needed to give myself the armor with additemmenu. Is there some way to prevent that?
some of these armors are super high stats for their gear level. It might be worth looking into delaying their distribution a bit so they aren't as easy to get at level 1.
Ah! I'll have a look at adding level limitations. If you want to add some limiters now, in the config files the third NONE (prior to the 1) is a level restriction, and can be adjusted to a value (say 15) to restrict the level distribution.
Yep! Should be safe to do so. Tweaking the ini may not remove existing characters who have had the outfit assigned to them, but if you select them in the console and use "Resurrect" or "resetinventory" it should restore their original non-spid assigned outfit.
If you aren't using it already, give SPID 6.5.0 RC2 a try to see if this solves the issue for you - this is a SPID bug, and may have been resolved with that release.

I really appreciate your various SPID mods.

EDIT nvm I somehow missed the line on the description which says these are new outfits. Ignore!!
