have you noticed that every leather armor in skyrim looks the same? of course you did, and this mod ains to change that, by adding 9 (15 if you count all variations) new lore-friendly leather armor sets to the game, suiting other regions and races`s smithing styles. every time you encounter someone using leather, it will be one of 15 variations.

Have you noticed that every single leather armor in skyrim looks the same? Of course you did, and this mod ains to change that, by adding 9 (15 if you count all variations) new lore-friendly leather armor sets to the game, suiting other regions and races`s smithing styles. Every time you encounter someone using leather, it will be one of 15 variations. This is done by changing the Outfit records of the leather sets in the game, by adding the armors into sublists and then adding those sublists to another sublist of a matching set, then that sublists are placed in place of the standard leather set. This will guarantee that when an actor wearing leather spawns, it will always be the matching set, sometimes without helmets.

Also, this time I teamed up with XilaMonstrr so we have good and cleaned high-resolution textures from the get-go, as well as performance texture options for Potato PCs.. Make sure to check her other upscaled texture mods too. Big thanks!

Summary
All armor sets in this mod have the same stats as normal leather armor, and are both craftable and upgradeable at any time ( all temperable with Leather). The recipes are as follows:
Altmeri Leather Set
  • Altmeri Leather Cuirass: 2 Linen Wrap, 4 Leather, 4 Leather strips. 
  • Altmeri Leather Boots: 2 Leather, 2 Leather strips. 
  • Altmeri Leather Gauntlets: same recipes as the boots. Temper with leather.
  • Altmeri Leather Hood:same recipes as boots and gauntlets. Temper with leather.
    Atmoran Leather Set
  • Atmoran Leather Cuirass: 3 Artic Fox Pelt, 4 Leather, 6 Leather strips. 
  • Atmoran Leather Boots: 1 Artic Fox Pelt, 2 Leather, 2 Leather strips. 
  • Atmoran Leather Gauntlets: same recipes as the boots. 
  • Atmoran Leather Helmet: 2 Leather, 2 Leather strips. 
    Colonial Militia Set
  • Colonial Militia's Cuirass: 4 Leather, 3 Leather strips. 
  • Colonial Militia's Boots: 2 Leather, 2 Leather strips. 
  • Colonial Militia's Gloves:1 Leather, 2 Leather strips. 
  • Colonial Militia's Hat (considered a Circlet in-game, shows your hair): 2 Leather, 1 Leather strips. 
Cyrodiilic Studded Set
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Cuirass (Brown): 2 Linen Wrap, 4 Leather, 4 Leather strips. 
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Cuirass (Blue): 1 Cyrodiilic Studded Cuirass (Brown), 2 Blue Dye (new ingredient, more on that later). 
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Cuirass (Red): 1 Cyrodiilic Studded Cuirass (Brown), 2 Red Dye (new ingredient, more on that later). 
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Boots:  2 Leather, 2 Leather strips.
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Gauntlets: Same recipe as boots. .
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Hood (Brown): 4 Leather, 2 Leather strips.
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Hood (Blue): 1 Cyrodiilic Studded Hood (Brown), 1 Blue Dye.
  • Cyrodiilic Studded Hood(Red): 1 Cyrodiilic Studded Hood (Brown), 1 Red Dye.
    Fletcher's Leather Gambeson Set
  • Fletcher's Leather Gambeson: 4 Leather Strips, 4 Gambeson Fabric (new misc item, more on that later).
  • Fletcher's Leather Boots:  2 Leather Strips, 2 Gambeson Fabric. 
  • Fletcher's Leather Gauntlets: Same recipe as boots. 
  • Fletcher's Leather Hat (considered a Circlet in-game, shows your hair): 1 Septim, 2 Leather Strips, 2 Leather, 2 Hawk Feathers.
    Khajiiti Leather Set
  • Khajiiti Leather Cuirass: 4 Leather, 2 Leather Strips, 3 Steel Ingots.
  • Khajiiti Leather Cuirass (Trimmed): same recipes as Khajiiti Leather Cuirass.
  • Khajiiti Leather Boots: 2 Leather, 2 Leather Strips, 1 Steel Ingots.
  • Khajiiti Leather Gauntlets: same recipe as boots.
  • Khajiiti Leather Helmet: same recipe as boots and gauntlets.
    Bretonic Leather Set
    (this set does not have a helmet, as I couldn't come up with a good enought Idea for it)
  • Bretonic Leather Cuirass: 4 Leather, 3 Leather Strips, 3 Steel ingots.

  • Bretonic Leather Cuirass (Trimmed): 3 Leather, 3 Leather Strips, 3 Steel ingots.
  • Bretonic Leather Boots: 1 Leather, 2 Leather Strips, 3 Steel ingots.
  • Bretonic Leather Gauntlets: 2 Leather, 2 Leather Strips, 1 Steel ingots.
    Orcish Leather Set
  • Orcish Leather Cuirass: 4 Leather, 4 Leather strips, 4 Horker Tusk.
  • Orcish Leather Cuirass(Trimmed): 3 Leather, 3 Leather strips, 4 Horker Tusk.
  • Orcish Leather Boots: 2 Leather, 2 Leather strips, 2 Horker Tusk.
  • Orcish Leather Gauntlets: Same recipe as boots.
  • Orcish Leather Helmet: 2 Leather, 2 Leather strips, 3 Horker Tusk.
    Valenwood Leather Set 
  • Valenwood Leather Cuirass:4 Leather, 4 Leather strips.
  • Valenwood Leather Cuirass(Trimmed): 3 Leather, 3 Leather strips.
  • Valenwood Leather Boots:  2 Leather, 2 Leather strips.
  • Valenwood Leather Gauntlets: Same recipe as boots.
  • Valenwood Leather Cape: 2 Linen Wrap, 2 Leather, 2 Leather strips.
    MISC/ Ingredient Recipes
  • Gambeson Fabric: 1 Linen Wrap, 2 Leather straps, 5 Tundra cotton. you craft it at a tanning hack and you make 2 each time.
  • Blue Dye(two recipes): 5 Mountain blue flower, 1 Dwarven Oil. you make that at a Cooking Pot. it yeald 3 each time.
    1 Moth Wing, 1 Dwarven Oil. you make that at a Cooking Pot. it yeald 1 each time.
  • Red Dye(two recipes): 5 Mountain Red flower, 1 Dwarven Oil. you make that at a Cooking Pot. it yeald 3 each time.
1 Creep cluster root, 1 Dwarven Oil. you make that at a Cooking Pot. it yeald 1 each time.

Ingredient Effects:

  • Blue Dye: Fortify Persuasion, Fortify Conjuration, Fortify Ilusion, Damage Magicka Regeneration.
  • Red Dye:  Restore Magicka, Fortify Barter, Fortify Ilusion, Fortify Magicka.


Q/A
Will you do a UNP/BHUNP conversion?
A:no, I won't. you will have to either do it yourself or wait for someone else to make one. I would love to suport every single body mod in existence but I do have a life to live :( .

Does this work with Regular CBBE? 
A: it should work fine, bodyslide files are also provided, but untested as for now. It is the same as the 3BA files but without the 3BA bones, should still work fine tho (again, I would do a propperly clean normal CBBE conversion if I had time and patience, doing those is quite a chore).

Does this work with the Vanilla body?
A:it should. however I don't offer support to the vanilla body. its 2022, come on guys just download a unp/cbbe nevernude with a vanilla looking presset at least. expecting full suport for vanilla body is like expecting GTA 6 to be made for the PS2.

Can you release a version without the Trimmed/ skimpy armors?
A:No. My mods are provided as is, and the skimpyness of my armors are pretty tame compared with what you see in this site,just take a look at skyrim's defaut bandit armors, they are skimpy, and you are not complaining.If you want to remove any armor of the pack, feel free to do so, but do it yourself, mod authors are not your maids.

Does this mod needs a bashed patch/ does it touch leveled lists?
A: this time, no. I distributed the sets by ediding outfit data, to ensure maximum compatibility, no armor mismatches and a more organized distribution.
If you use the alternate plugin option, then yes, as it edits two NPC records.

Does this mod affects NPCs/ followers from other mods?
A:if it is referencing the defaut leather outfits, then yes, it does, and thats one of the main reasons why I made this mod lol.

Why don't you do an SPID distribution or a fomod?
A: Cause I don't know how to do that yet, I'm just a guy still learning how stuff works, have patience. XilaMonstrr released the SPID distribution plugin, grab it here.

Why don't you port your mods to LE or XBOX?
A: cause I don't have LE, and I don't have an XBOX. XilaMonstrr will be doing the LE backports of all my armor packs soon, as for the Xbox ports, you can grab then here(1k-512) or here(2k-1k)
