    Hi, I'm wondering why the mod includes textures.. you say in the description that you only used vanilla textures and if I view the towers in Nifskope (without installing your textures) they render fine, no missing textures that I could see.

      Hi, no idea mate, I'm a noob modder so I was told in the tutorials put the textures in the file and thats what I did.

      I made a patch that makes them use your own riften textures automatically + added parallax flag. Could I upload it pls? Or send the files to you as the author @azorod ?

      I also struggle to get my riften textures to work on the towers. Any fix yet? The towers look great nevertheless.

      MadGamesLp Simply open both meshes with Nifskope, and to all texture sets, change
      textures\*riftentexture.dds*
      to 
      textures\architecture\riften\*riftentexture.dds*

    Wonderful mod, mate! I have a question related to your great work here. The towers make Riften look much more defensible and protected in an area that has a lot of bandit raids and smuggling. One thing that has always irked me though is that Honeyside has a completely undefended rear entrance which could easily be attacked from outside with no walls to defend it. Maybe in the future there could be a small mod to extend the wall to the lake so that Honeyside is protected? It just always seemed weird to me to have a walled city with basically a hole in the wall which is the back of someone's private residence!

      Yes, they are, unfortunately, a small ladder and the city is taken. :'D

      Yes, the meshes are custom made, I didn't use vanilla statics like the previous version.

    Sorry if this has already been asked, but how does this work with various Riften mods that alter that area, like Ryften Down or Build your own Riften, or Riften Extension - Southwood District or the Riften Docks Overhaul? Not that my Riften needs MORE to bog down that area. I just can't help tinkering...

      I tested the mods you cited and they all work perfectly with Riften Towers. Except "make your Riften" it only works if you don't select the defences in the mod set up. I will add a detailed compatibility list in the mod description.

      Actually it is! I didn't even know open cities was still a thing.  Riften looks amazing when you can freely walk from the city center to the docks with the towers on each side keeping watch.

    Thanks for the DynDolod version. Would it be possible to have a DynDolod version with an esp(fe) file? I don´t like esl files. (Don´t ask.) Thank you!

    Love the addition to Riften.  But Running Dyndolod 3 I get a "Root Block" message.  

    Root Block
    The root node block type of a NIF for object models should typically be a BSFadeNode.
    Dynamically enabling models with a root node block type other than BSFadeNode, BSLeafAnimNode or BSTreeNode causes CTD, hence the NIF is ignored for dynamic LOD.
    The root node block type can be converted or changed with NifSkope. Right click the [0] NiNode, select Block, Convert, Bethesda, BSFadeNode, then save the updates NIF.

    I have no idea how to use nifscope.  Would you be able to fix it?  Thank you

    What was wrong with the old upload? I downloaded it ages ago and am just looking into installing the mods from the list i created in december last year

      The old upload was my first mod and it was messy in every way possible so I preferred starting fresh so you guys can have a clean mod.
