I've noticed in-game, that at least some smoke seems really bright at night. I have only a vague sense of how this works, but as I understand some effects emit light while others receive it (that seems to be crux of the matter with fogs and mists, at least), and I imagine that might be the issue here. Would it make sense to have a version of this that is set to receive light, so that smoke at night is black, or at least only white-grey if lit by the moons, a brazier etc?
The result is a smoke that doesn't glow at night anymore, and will be affected by light sources. Note: smoke may look black under certain lighting and interiors.
Here's an exhibit. Notice how the smoke is taking the fire's orange glow, and when it's out of range on the top right, the smoke gets darker.
has anyone tried this with mods like Ulvenwald, that add animations for trees according to wind strength? Cuz if this mod adds wind it might go crazy with the tree animations.
Haha. It wouuuld be nice to not have to go through all of them(and of course I'm using all of them, I mean, I think I am using every mod you have :) ) when doing load order despite them all using the same file. but it's a small price to pay for that amazing effect that really makes the game feel so much more magical. All of your work is A1.
Cool mod, but what's with the screenshots? The rain makes it look like complete ass, and you can't see the defining details of the mod. So for poor presentation I give you a 6/10
While using Skyrim Unbound Reborn, I noticed the smoke rising from Helgen does not behave the same way as smoke from sconces. You can hopefully see here. https://imgur.com/a/IJ7gPfN The white smoke down by the sconce fires at the bottom is moving in one direction and is affected by weather (as intended), while the dark smoke from Helgen burning is moving in the opposite and doesn't change with the weather (not as intended). Do you happen to know if perhaps this might be something wrong with my game/load order or could it be something you missed or haven't changed yet?
I could kiss you right now!! It fixed the flickering when moving the camera. It was driving me insane. I've spent hours enabling and disabling and testing different mod orders and now it's finally fixed. Thank you so much!!
Interesting mod Rudy. I hate to be one of the people asking for something but this is so neat I was wondering if you might consider a patch for STAC at all? I'm not sure if it would need a patch but it seems likely since both mods touch the same thing, candle and brazier smoke.
That would be for the mod Smoking Torches and Candles.
Thank you for sharing this mod. I will leave an endorsement when I am able.

- Open both mpssmokechimney01.nif and mpssmokechimney02.nif
- Drop down the NiParticleSystem until you see BSEffectShaderProperty
- In the lower window, find Shader Flags 2, open and drop it down. Scroll to the bottom to find Effect_Lighting, and enable it.
- Set Lighting Influence to ZERO (0)
- Do this to both files and save.

off-topic but can you make the entire "More ENB lights" mod list into one single mod? please
What Whiterun overhaul are you using in these shots?
Will this mod work with NAT3 ENB / PRTXII ENB?
LOVE THE SMOKE!!!
