TO DO: I wanna try and figure out how to replenish health by consuming filled soul gems, instead of using other means of healing. I imagine such a thing requires scripting (which I suck at), so if you're a scripting-proficient modder and you have an idea how this might be done, consider helping me :)
I am no longer modding/playing Skyrim. If any of my SSE mods need critical updates for compatibility with mods they depend on, I may give permission to other modders to publish updates, just contact me. Otherwise, all my mods are offered as they are, so if it works - it works. If it doesn't, please consult with each other for a solution. I will no longer be able to provide direct support because Skyrim and all its components are uninstalled from my system.
Really great work... Wow... can i just ask if it is combatible with a No enb game? i got a giant pulsing bright square on the hand while the spell is on even with all the lighting mods off, and this make me so sad...
Do you have that square on a Shadow Reaver as well? That sword shouldn't have ENB light implemented in the mesh (because it's kinda pitch black). Also do you see that square on inventory art of swords and bound swords as well?
While the shadow sword is casted the bright square disappear, but the simple spell emit a light version of the square also in the Shadow Reaver.... In the inventory preview all the sword are perfect... My setup don't need Enb at all, but god... I wish culd use this mod... even the sound effect is really amazing... there is a way to fix this awful square, master?
I'll try to work something out. I'll post the experiment in Miscellaneous files, it should only be meshes to overwrite the existing ones. Stay tuned :)
i have the same problem like you...the same shining bright square,and it looks so awful,though i turned to no ENB version and it was solved,it still makes me upset without the ENB light.
There's no reason for the light to turn into a square if you're using ENB. Make sure you have EnableBigRange ticked on in COMPLEXPARTICLELIGHTS section of your ENB menu. If that doesn't work, then the ENB preset you're using is not properly optimized for particle lights. Every ENB preset I've ever used has worked flawlessly with the lights on these swords.
I think I found what might be the issue. The ENB Light in the hand spell depends on the effect texture from ENB Light - which I assumed everyone who uses ENB already has installed. This is the path for the texture: textures/ effects/ glowsoft01_enbl.dds If you're missing this texture - or something is overwriting it - this might be the cause of the visual glitch.
I'll upload test meshes with standalone textures, you can try them out and see if it fixes the problem. Stand by
little feedback though. the damage is very high. nearly twice what other bound weapons do (in bound weapon extravaganza, 1h bound swords are 9 damage, mystic are 14. here its 20 and 25.
it would so be great to have a description of the weapon's unique effects in the spell description
EDITED: I've done a lot of experimenting with weapons' effects, and I've enhanced them quite a bit. I have rebalanced the base damage of Reavers to be more or less sensible. The game isn't rigged to show perk-related enchantments of bound weapons - Soul Stealer and Oblivion Binding, but other enchantments will be visible when Bound Reavers are conjured, in inventory view. Advancing in Destruction (fire, frost, shock, absorb) scales with the magnitude of these enchantments.
Have you checked out the corporeal version of the Soul Reaver? I've got both that and this mod, love them, I always start my baddie Dragonborn off with the knowledge of the Soul Reaver as a nod to... Well, it's a long story lol, needless to say, despite being an immersion and realism lore-lover addict. I do tend to love throwing Easter Eggs into my game from time to time! Especially Easter Eggs that are definitely worth the munch like these ones! LOK 4EVA!
EDIT: In addition I'd forgotten to endorse a week ago, sheesh, so, I rectified that issue! Smashing work, you should work on the new reboot/remaster that's been hint-dropped a couple month back. This design is amazing.
The only mod I use that might affect them is ordinator, I know there are perks that affect bound weapons but I haven´t gotten them. Maybe that's the problem?
I've never used Ordinator, so I really don't know the extent of that mod and how exactly it affects vanilla features. I know for certain that meshes themselves aren't responsible for CTD, so it must be some custom game mechanic clashing with this mod.
Nice! I'm always a fan of adding more unique fantasy weapons to Skyrim for extra fun. These look spectacular and I can't wait to try them out on some poor bandits. Thanks!
