山纹甲，“山纹”是指《唐六典》里提到过的唐代十三种铠甲之一的“山纹甲”。在《唐实录》中也有对“山纹甲”的记载：“贞观十九年五月丁丑，营于马首山，初太宗遣使于百济，取金漆涂铁甲，色迈兼金，又以五彩染玄金，制为山文甲。”宋代亦有“黑漆顺水山字铁甲”之说。
Shanwen stands for "mountain-like curves", indicating the design of this type of armour resembles the extending lines and curves of mountains. The design originated from one of the thirteen recorded armour sets of Tang Dynasty (AD618-907) mentioned in documents like The Six Codex of Tang, which was the official imperial codex.
In later documents like The Entries of Tang described its creation in detail, "On the May 14th of the 19th Year of Zhenguan (by Chinese Calendar ofc, it was AD645), his imperial majesty camped his army at Mt. Mashoushan and sent emissaries for Baiji (a kingdom once existed in the southern part of modern-day Korean Peninsula). (His emissaries) wore iron armours adorned with gold, then they took other colours to fashion their armours as well, such design was later referred as Shanwen."
This design was favoured by Chinese generals in Tang and later Song Dynasty, the mod took the design from the latter dynasty.
Now, you can march into battle like a divine general of the Celestial Empire.
