Introduction
Shadow Spell Package by TenebKel is one of my favorite mods on the Nexus. As far as I know, it's the only mod out there that allows for shadow mage-based gameplay (something like you'd see in World of Warcraft) (This is no longer the case with Abyss being released by norive. However, I personally prefer the total overhaul version of mods as opposed to the vanilla+ nature of mods like Abyss). However, the spells added by the mod could become extremely powerful, particularly if you were using a perk overhaul like Ordinator. This is compounded by the fact that enemies don't have any natural resistances to shadow spells, meaning spells of other destruction schools could feel useless by comparison. Additionally, the mod had a lot of bugs. That's why I made this mod.

Description
This mod does several things. First, it nerfs most of the shadow spells. I use Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim by EnaiSiaion, so this mod was made with this perk overhaul in mind (however, it does not require Ordinator). Second, it buffs the Shadow Atronach. I felt the atronach was underpowered at lower levels and nearly useless at higher levels, especially if you're using mods that strengthen enemies. Third, it fixes various bugs. Specific changes I made can be found below, with this mod's values being in purple and the original mod's values being in red:

Bug fixes:
Spoiler:
Show
Dark Arts tomes: All books now properly award the perk they're supposed to (NOTE: It may take a second or two for the perk to actually apply to your character. After using the book, please exit the pause menu, walk around for a bit, and give it ~30 seconds - 1 minute to give you the perk)

Mind Blast: Targets of Mind Blast no longer erroneously try to get up after having the effect cast on them

All spells: Spells now properly update from novice > apprentice > adept > expert if applicable

Curse spells: Descriptions no longer read "it's" instead of "its"

Shadowform: Little black squares no longer appear in first person

Enchantments: Hex and Drain Soul enchantment now properly execute their effects

Hex Rune: Recognized by Ordinator's Ancient Seals perk (when using the Ordinator patch in the optional section)

TL;DRBasically, I nerfed the Shadow spells by 50% and buffed the Shadow Atronach. I also fixed some bugs that plagued the mod and fixed some typos.

Although these may seem like heavy nerfs, I believe they are warranted. With the scaling that Ordinator provides (along with the perks that you can acquire through Shadow Spell Package itself), the shadow spells usually deal just as much, if not more, damage than their elemental counterparts when you've acquired all the perks. This just makes it so your power grows more slowly instead of being insanely overpowered at the start of the game. If, however, you just want the bug fixes, I've added an optional file that does this without any of the nerfs.

Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with any mod that doesn't modify the spells in SSP.

Installation
Simply install the mod at anytime on any playthrough! As this is just a .esp, you can safely install, uninstall, and reinstall at any point.

Future Plans
Maybe some more tweaks or bug fixes if they're required. I'd also be open to feedback on if I've nerfed the spells too much, not enough, or if people want tweaks to some of the other spells in the mod.
