It's up to you, the lower you load it, the more features flow through into your game. Personally I load it after LUX. You shouldn't be getting any CTD's based on Ambience's load position - if that is the case, please let me know.
For sure. A matter of personal prefer ofcourse although the reason I made this mod was to fix so many annoying little vanilla things - like glowing water at night, imagespace changes in certain places, unrealistic light reach...if these things appeal to you, it'll work with CS just fine.
So just so I am clear, this mod is compatible with ENB and Lux right? I am a beginner when it comes to modding so I just wanted to ask before I toss it in my load order!
Getting a flicker depending on head position (in VR). Really noticeable when walking around in some lightings. Using LUX. Narrowed it down to this mod.

I add shadows lights to one or two more records over vanilla. Not sure if you are Community Shaders or ENB yet if the latter and since LUX try Anti-Flicker maybe
Great mod! I threw it in my load order yesterday and I'm loving the subtle but noticeable change it made.
One thing that I didn't see mentioned is that if you're using Flat World Map Framework you'll want to load this before the FWMF plugin or make a small conflict resolution patch so the records from FWMF win. Otherwise depending on what map texture you're using it might make it too light to see anything lol easy fix tho!
An outstanding job. Thanks to the very nice color calibration that Ambience offers, I've managed to drop ENB gaining a good handful of FPS along the way and getting the sustained 60FPS the vast majority of the time. I can even live without Reshade.
I have spent several days doing all kinds of tests until I found this wonderful mod. Thanks a lot! (=
Thank you....Ambience was born out of frustration with 2 things primarily, one being those awful vanilla imagespace effects like at the base of the stairs outside bleakfalls barrow and the other the bright water at night. The rest was me getting carried yet I couldn't live without Ambience in my load order either. Enjoy the FPS and keep an eye out for VRAMr update soon
Of course, I'll keep an eye out, although I've already managed to optimize my fixed modlist according to object sizes (2048k armor, 1024k boots/gloves/yelms, 2048k/1024k/512k common items, potions, vegetables, fruit, grass, trees, etc according to item size, and other things I forget). Still looking forward to that update, because VRAMr looks quite useful.
So I purposely flagged as ESL yet kept as an ESP file suffix so as not to upset your load order. Since there are no cell, worldspace edits or scripts you should be 100% safe to simply just update.

Complimentary mods include Paraphernalia Magicka, Paraphernalia Anti-Flicker, Imaginator and Paraphernalia Lustre (Reshade)
...I'm the same setup
Since you are using Lux and since you are ENB and not Community Shaders...you may need Anti-Flicker too

Any idea why this could be happening?
