This loader is for MCM Helper. The version for FISSES and PapyrusUtil is here.
Compared to its predecessor: - automatically loads settings, but only of the MCM Helper - INI type (Legacy is for FISSES and PapyrusUtil). - automatically saves settings (Legacy version does not) - completely localized (the Legacy version had some strings hard-coded) - allows you to import settings from FISSES and PapyrusUtil presets - works with any version of the game (currently the mods required for the legacy loader are not updated to the latest version of Skyrim).
I don't know why, but I downloaded both versions of yours and they're not working properly. After setting the first file, opening a new file restored it to default. Then go back to the first file, everything that was originally set up is messy.May I ask what the problem is?
For example, I have set my favorite parameters and interface states in the first game profile. Then open a second new game file and it will revert back to its original default state. Then I loaded the first game file and found that the previously set interface state was also chaotic, such as the clock disappearing. No matter how I checked it in MCM, it still wouldn't appear. It's really strange.
Then I checked the AMatterOfTime.ini file under MO2 \ overwrite \ MCM \ Settings \, and found that as long as a new player game file is created or other player game files are loaded, AMatterOfTime.ini will automatically revert to the default parameters, causing confusion in the A Matter Of Time interface for all game files and making it difficult to modify them.
Strangely enough, even though I have this version of the mod enabled, the settings don't automatically load when in game, even upon starting a new game. Basically, I still need to manually load them as if I had FISS installed, while other settings loader (such as Widged Mod Settings Loader) work like a charm)
Make sure you have MCM Helper settings after you changed anything in MCM. Saved settings location: "MCM\Settings\AMatterOfTime.ini". Then check papyrus log, loader will put info when it loads the settings. If this does not work, I can give you step-by-step instructions to find out the reason.
Thank you for creating this mod! A Matter of Time is very helpful, but I wasn't going to use FISSES. So your mod does a great job without using outdated software!
I'm still new to MO2, so I apologize if the answer to this is obvious. I want to keep the Overwrite folder empty. Where should I move the MCM\Settings\AMatterOfTime.ini file to once it has been created in the Overwrite folder?
Any chance settings loader overwrite interface/translations file for game start/save load? I try to use AMOT + Faster seasons with months in file interface/translations/amatteroftime_english.txt reffred accordingly: Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer - but somehow Skyrim still receives "correct" month names (vanilla names or initial AMOT month names) in widget
I'm not sure why, but all of your settings loaders just break the mods they go to, regardless of version of the mod, the loader, and its dependencies. If I disable your loaders, they work fine. I wouldn't recommend using these to anyone probably because of whatever method is used to save and autoload settings isn't a good one.
This is impossible, I think you messed up with your load order. Not only loaders are working fine but also thousands of people are using it. If you are not sure why, you need to learn a bit about modding, because you will download texture mod and blame it for destroying your pc.
Read about MCM Helper and how it works, if you are interested how loaders are working. Many big mods like TrueHUD or TDM are using MCM Helper to autosave and autoload settings.
Could you make a version that's compatible with A Matter of Time HUD Clock Widget - Edit for Seasons? MO2 reports that your mod overwrites the aforementioned mod, and I don't want to load the Edit for Seasons after your mod and possibly break things.
