Description
A rewrite of comfortzone's excellent Relationship Change Notifications.
The notifications are now written in third person perspective just like the vanilla game, for immersion.
- Main file - adds notifications when relationship ranks change in the background (for example as a result of a quest);
- Add-on file - adds additional info when you activate an NPC.
The files are meant to complement each other. If you want both functionalities, you need both files.
This mod is compatible both on Skyrim AE 1.6++, Skyrim SE 1.5.97, and Skyrim VR.
(it's not a SKSE mod so version doesn't matter)
Changes
- Written in third person perspective; e.g. "Alvor now considers you a friend" instead of "Alvor is now my friend!"
- Better readability for the (+) and (-) signifying increase and decrease of relationship ranks, using lighter red and green color.
- More natural writing; e.g.:
- "<NPC name> now condemns you as a foe" if relationship worsens, and "<NPC name> now only regards you as <his/her> foe" if relationship improves, instead of a static "<NPC name> is now my foe!"
- "You barely know <NPC name>" instead of "<NPC name> is my acquaintance";
or "You dislike <NPC name>" instead of "<NPC name> is my rival." - "<He/she> does not seem to be in a committed relationship" instead of "It seems <he/she> is available to be married."
- ALTERNATIVE STYLE: Telltale's The Walking Dead style, "<NPC name> will remember that." Same flavor text regardless whether the relationship improves or worsens, it only differs in (+) or (-).

This mod DOES NOT move the notification HUD to the right of the screen nor does it include HUD for quests.
I'm using a custom SkyHUD preset and Compass Navigation Overhaul in the screenshot.

Installation
- If with mod manager: zip comes with a FOMOD installer.
- If installing manually: drag the files in the folders into your Skyrim installation.
- Either way, this mod patches the original Relationship Change Notifications, so put it alongside the original.
Mod can be installed and uninstalled whenever you want.
