Surely your screen is only using ~1000 pixels at most to ever display one of these decals, even when you're right up close? It's not like this texture is getting wrapped across a mammoth or a dragon or something. Its a small mark on the floor.
EDIT: I was gonna say something about the BC7 compression, but never mind. At 4k res (since these are just decals that get shrunk down on your screen), you won't notice the compression artifacts. So whatever. ;) But if you're taking these textures and then reducing them to 1k or less (512 x512 should be fine)... for the textures with an alpha channel... you'll want to either simplify the alpha channel or save as dxt5.
Sorry but why MO2 keeps telling me that 'The newest version on Nexus seems to be older than the one you have installed'? Is this an error that I can leave it or should I do something to fix? Thanks!
Correction, I did a lot of try and error stuff with the mesh but I could not figure out what’s going on. may you have more luck with it. Anyway the vanilla ice impact mesh lightning seems buggy.
1) I notice when I started the install, this mod wants to use the same name as the original mod, Deadly Spell Impacts. I see that your mod is just textures. Should I give your mod a new name and load AFTER the original mod? Or just overwrite the original mod?
2) I also see that the version number of your mod (I am installing the 2K version) is 1.7, the same as the current version of the original mod. It seems that the current version of your mod should be 1.1.
Yes, sorry those are holdovers on the FOMOD that I forgot to edit when I updated the second version. Personally I prefer to rename the mod but you'll save file space but letting it merge/overwrite
Edit: Korodic's fix uses an esp. I haven't checked in ssedit what it actually does, but is your transparency edit meant to just allow us to overwrite Korodic's decalfrostimpact01_n.dds texture, or to remove the need for the fix entirely, including the esp?

Does this cover the impacts from dragon's shouts on the ground? I have this mod installed but those textures still look very low-res.Edit: I think this was just a load order problem. Loaded this below Arctic and now things look how they should :)
If so, see mod description. If not, I have no idea what you are referring to.
may you have more luck with it.

One question: would you consider talking to Korodic about a version that includes his transparency fix for ENB?
