NOTE: This mod only adds a new, invisible, item for slot 47. It does not replace any existing backpacks from creation club or other mods.
If you want to have the benefits of a backpack but also want it to be invisible, then you must use other mods (some mentioned in description) to either setup a display-only outfit or copy stats to this invisible backpack and equip it.
Once I equipped this invisible backpack, it removes the original backpack which is also in Slot 47. I cannot wear them together so I cannot get the benefits from my original backpack.
This backpack is considered as clothes, if I wear this, I will lose the benefits from some heavy armor perks that require you to wear all heavy armor. For example my armor will drop down immediately.
So this backpack is not meant to be worn as just another piece of equipment. Think of it as a transmog item that can be used, in combination with other mods, to change the appearance of the actual backpack that you have equipped. This mod itself does not provide actual transmog functionality, just a 'skin' that happens to be invisible.
I recommend checking out Skyrim Outfit System. This mod is essentially the scripted guts of a transmog system. Read through the mod's description on how it functions, all through an MCM menu, then DL it and give it a try. By using my backpack here with Outfit System you can wear whatever backpack you want and have it appear invisible; But you can do far more things with Outfit System than simply hiding hats/helmets or backpacks.
I originally made this pack for myself because I wanted the benefit of a backpack without it being visible by using Outfit System and I thought that other people might want to transmog their packs to invisible as well. While it would be nifty if this just worked as a plug n play skin swap, it wouldn't be worth it to create a one off transmog script/system just for a single skin.
For anyone who can't find the item id for whatever reason, it's xx005736. The xx is whatever the mod index value of the HypnoInvisibleBackpack.esp plugin is.
Really a neat idea! Sometimes I'm carrying what feels like the entire riches and treasures of Skyrim on my back, come across some epic beautiful scene and want to take a screen shot of it, or perhaps I want to take a pic of a particular mod and I may not want something else in the picture but it takes a ton of time to move it from the backpack or dropping the backpack somewhere. You know, stuff like that.
Definitely downloading and installing, hopefully it works with everything else I have. Endorsed and kudos. This is a nice idea that fulfills a much needed purpose, both cheaply, easily and visually. Thank you!

Hope that clears things up.
But i can't see it. So, we'll just have to settle for what you can't see is what you get....unlike covid, this is a pretty good thing.
:)
+1K because it's unlike covid
