I just got the Ebony Mail and I'm making noise while sneaking. When I wear boots I enchanted with Muffle, I'm silent all the time.
According to the UESP for the Ebony Mail:
The value of the Muffle effect is set to 1, so the Ebony Mail alone completely eliminates all noise from your armor. However, the Muffle effect for the Ebony Mail only activates while you are in sneak mode.
Assuming the UESP is correct, is this something you can fix?
Took a good look, but it really isn't even clear what determines if sound is considered from the player vs NPC. It's not something well documented either that would be easy to understand. It may be better to just offer an alternative as someone else had requested to simply mute the sound for those with the ghost effect.
Could this mod not be rebuilt in a simpler and more compatible way now with Sound Record Distributor? Both Audio Overhaul and Immersive Sounds Compendium have been moving to using SRD as a basis.
"Makes a metric poop ton of changes to Sound Descriptors for footsteps,"
", but it's tedious and time consuming."
If it's repetitive, it's probably not so hard to write a script that can help. Maybe you could ask someone with the requisite knowledge to do so. Synthesis, Xedit, or Zedit patch?
Do audio patches need anything but the condition forward to work? Noticed some of the sound files were edited out in the AOS / ISC / Integration patch vs the original - what is that intended to do? thanks!
those who use both I believe need both. Each only patches their respective mod. Order should match how you have them placed in ur current load order so the right stuff takes priority. Some things do not overlap.

If not, is there another mod that fixes this?
Thanks.
