Can you make a Quest and/or Purchasable? No one is alone on the Quest thing. In a battle between "nothing at all" VS. "a cheap excuse of anything just to have one", Nothing at all is victor. Needs to be very creative, original and epic for such a place and I just draw blanks. Anyone who has explored Thur Vonun knows its geared towards an accomplished character. Personally, I would discover it later. Build up in a separate home with family and move everyone in there after or keep the family situated where they are and use the Sanctum explicitly for Dragonborn character purposes. What is this locked door in the Grottoes? Are we supposed to ignore this? This mod was a big split and despite what's covered in Article: Thur Vonun Sanctum SE Background, that room is no longer occupied. It was the door to the Torchsys Laboratory which is a place designed for TruTorches SE. Its vacant now just waiting for me but I have no idea when I will get to it

I'm really glad your enjoying it. It is quite a unique concept place so I understand it wouldnt be for everyone but for many, it would just rock their world. I eventually hope to return to Thur not to do any design changes but to make all the coded functions much smarter and add some new features like the npc stripping system, I want to add support for not stripping wigs/beards and make the sorting system smarter/faster but this type of modification requires a brand new non-Thur save. Unfortunately with script related stuff, if you wanted to recreate the code, old code save bakes so it sucks that way relative to how saves store data.... Anyhow, I have no clue when that will happen as I am always involved with other projects where creators need me so its like I don't have my own schedule to do what i want anymore. It's hard to get my own time gaps. As for the razor, it was right under your nose the whole time. On the arm-rest of the throne
Having tried Thur Vonun on your suggestion, I thought I'd share my thoughts on it. Do with them what you will.
First, I definitely like the secret cave home concept. Cave homes are rad, and I definitely prefer player homes that are quiet and secluded over city life. And really, the detail everywhere is very impressive, nothing anywhere is boring. On the other hand though, the open space ceiling just feels kinda wrong to me. Regular ol' cave and brickwork ceilings similar to the walls and floors would have been preferred. Past that, the lighting in the brighter parts is great, but the default lighting is too dark in the darker rooms. I'd imagine lighting templates could help, but I don't have Lux in the first place because I really like some of the stuff Community Shaders does and it doesn't sound like Lux and Community Shaders are a good combo. Also, maybe this is connected to not having Lux, or using Community Shaders and its addons, but adjusting the bulb size doesn't seem to do anything?
The grotto part looks really nice, but in practice it seems like unnecessary added travel time between the main outside entrance and the useful main sanctum part. Maybe there's a technical reason the middle caves are needed, but connecting the main entrance directly to the sanctum section, and then using the grottos to access other rope travel exits/entrances would be preferred. And speaking convenience, you can't fast travel in or out of Thur Vonun? I get there being no direct in, since that goes for all player homes as far as I can tell, but there's at least one custom player home I've tried that does allow fast traveling directly out of it, so I would think that much must be possible here too.
Beyond visuals, half the place is just too loud. The ambient low cave hum and other low rumbling noises are uncomfortably loud in some places. To be fair, even vanilla caves suffer from that same problem on occasion, but still, an option to turn down ambient hums and whatever the rumble is in the smithing room, similar to turning off dragon sounds, would be great. (If that's possible?) Conversely, the extra background music variety was definitely some sound added for the better though.
The combination of auto-storage, auto-loot for crafting, AND one huge dedicated storage room is my storage dream come true though. Every custom player house needs a dedicated single loot stashing room like that, if not auto-storage sorting as well, that's absolutely my favorite part of Thur right there.
And finally, I hit one weird bug: I get kicked off the workbench after about four seconds of using it no matter what. And afterwards, I can't switch to third person unless I use a normally functioning crafting station. I'd assume that whatever weirdness is kicking me off of it to begin with is cancelled by exiting a station correctly? Anyway, every other crafting station in Thur Vonun is fine, and every workbench outside of Thur Vonun, including the one in your version of Breezehome, is still fine. (Or at least the random handful I tested so far all work, anyway.) I have absolutely no idea what the issue is, it's not a problem I expect a fix for, but it's an issue I have and I'm making a note of it in case anyone else ever also encounters it.
So yeah, that's my takeaway. I definitely really wanted to move into Thur Vonun, but while it has the cooler secret cave base design concept, and the superior everything in one specific room storage solution, Breezehome beats it out by having an easier to navigate layout, no overly loud ambient sounds, no extra cell or space between its main section and the nearest fast travel destination, and a working workbench. If there ever was a Thur Vonun 2.0 though, I'd be all over that.
Color me thick headed, but what exactly is the point to the capture system? Is it a system used to upgrade or unlock things, or just a fun side feature?
This place is amazing, I can tell a lot of work was put into it. Would it be possible for you to make a Havardr patch? The stuff that causes problems is some of the stuff outside the entrance (although the entrance isn’t covered up), and there’s a chunk of tower intersecting the rock that the cats stand on. It’s still possible to enter the sanctum but there’s some floating stuff due to Havardr.
Glad your enjoying. Its usually quiet here so the msg took me by surprise. I have no idea when I will be, or rather, have the time to be back on this mod. I am very busy always in multiple largescale projects far outside of content which would be deemed as "created by myself" mods. I will take a mental note of it when I will return to the mod. By me saying taking a look into when I return isn't to say one would be made. I have other priorities on the agenda for this mod on my return. If my time doesn't expire to get done what I have planned for Thur and I am not pressed to leave due to other obligations, I will look what the two look like loaded against one another and from there, I would have to weigh how complex a patch would be to mend the two. Its all timing with me.. If its a patch that will take a lot of work, I might have to skip it but if its not too complicated, I might be able to squish it in
Fantastic Player Home. The only issue I have is the bed. Lay / Gaze works but no option to sleep hovering everywhere or via TCL. The upright vampire coffin works fine however. Still checking via Xedit, but haven't found anything competing... yet. I appreciate the work you put into it.
Glad I checked the comments. Can confirm the same issue. I'm unsure if its due to the bed itself, or an incompatibility with Go To Bed for my case specifically.
So its the "Go to Bed" mod aye... I know its not the bed at base mod level. I figured it was a third-party mod logic handling conflict of sorts. I've never downloaded that before. I may have to look into that down the road. Thanx for figuring that out and letting me know

Loved this mod, the video , specially febriths version, my utmost favorite part of the home, was the whole prisoner idea , I've would have immense fun with that.. Sadly my poor potato, didn't think too much of the mod movement n such wise , I could barely move, plus the mod being quite a big file , so uninstalled, n found a home no quite as involved, but agreeable... will be tracking maybe if one day I have enough to buy a better system to handle big mods like this^.^ Endorsed Tracking ...

Yeh, I haven't played played the game for along time but when I get sometime to coc ingame, just for fun in whatever dev or testing I may be doing, if I have Thur active, I send giants and whatever to the prisoner system just for my sick enjoyment before shutdown. Need to have fun sometimes right. You must have quiet the potato. Its something we share in common..I'm too attached to my machine to upgrade. I dont struggle in there but then again, I dont use ENB, Reshades or many high texture res mods.. Im quiet simple when it comes to all that.. Just need my Vanilla+ and fixes and Im good to go

Loot is telling me Vonun requires "Alternate Start - Live another life. esp to be installed, but it is not listed as a requirment in the discription.
Arthmoor updated his requirments for "Alternate Start - Live another life on the second of this month, now requiring his USSEP.
Unfortunatly Version 1.5.97, which is what I have, is not supported by USSEP, only newer versions.
Alternate Start - Live another life, no longer functions for me, surprise surprise. So I had to disable Alternate Start - Live another life (but kept the old version of USSEP enabled per suggestion of another Mod Author) .
Do you see a problem in not running Alternate Start - Live another life with your Vonun player home?
Hi there and glad your enjoying the home About your issue, to be honest, I don't understand what your issue is. Thur Vonun has nothing to do with ASLAL. I made a patch supporting ASLAL providing a new dialogue option at the Mara statue. That can be used or not used with ASLAL installed. Its not a problem fix compatibility patch but provides just a a luxury "get to home" at game start option. If you don't use ASLAL, then you obviously would not want to install the ASLAL patch

This is one of the most detailed houses I've seen to date! I'm loving it but I seem to have one issue though. It would appear that the MCM isn't appearing for me. I have all the requirements for the mod so I'm not sure why it isn't appearing. The only thing I can think of if that installing it mid-playthrough might've buggered something up.

I cant see installing it midplay would screw that up unless there is some other 3rd-party SkyUI thingy going on under the hood It would say Thur Vonun MCM.... It use to be "MCM Thur Vonun" along time ago but not now.. Have you tried Jaxonz MCM Kicker SE? Maybe worth a shot. I would not make a new save WITH IT unless it helps your situation there. Not sure if it will resolve the matter but worth a shot
I tried making a fresh save to test it an it still hasn't shown up even after using the mod you mentioned. I double checked that I have the requirements and that Thur Vonun wasn't conflicting with anything so I'm not sure what's up. Either way I'm still going to use the house since its so good. I'll just have to put up with the auto-loot menu popping up whenever I go to use the enchanting or alchemy tables. I appreciate your help and the timely respense!
It actually states in the provided Auto-loot Guide book (ingame, the "Information Kit") how to turn the Auto-loot System ON/OFF using the console if that helps since for obscure reasons unknown, the MCM is not registering for you. I would NEVER advise to use the console to turn the Auto-loot system ON/OFF if the MCM is present but since for you, it isn't, might as well take advantage of the console approach
I still fail to understand why the MCM is not showing up for you. The MCM does use po3 Extender and PapyrusUtil functions. I don't know if lets say PapyusUtil DLL is loosing from a mod pre-packed with an old one could have a say... I am stumped on that. Possibly using an old SkyUI version. Latest is 5.2 and this was build in dev using SkyUI 5.2 so yeh, I dont know
