These specs will one day be way outdated and people will laugh at them,
however at the time of this ADDONs release, a high end machine would most
likely contain the follower main items:

- 16 GB of RAM
- Quad Core (i7) Processer running a minimum of 3.2 Ghz
- Nvidia : GTX 590, GTX 680+, GTX 770+
- Radeon HD : 6990 or 7990
- Or some sort of SLI/Crossfire (multi-card) enhanced configuration
- Probably a solid state hard drive.

Random unexplainable bugs and crashing. Things like followers going nude,
followers backpacks suddenly resetting, followers acting stupid and ignoring
combat. AFT does a lot of things and any one of them could break if your
computer can't keep up.

Q: Can I install this mod and simply use fewer followers?

Most likely. However this hasn't been tested.


Possibly. Other mods like appearance enhacement mods can greatly increase
the poly requirements of each follower. (Active or Not). This can cause
stability issues if you enter a room with say... 50 managed followers
standing around. , even if they are not actively follower you.

A. Requirements

- Skyrim patch 1.9.29.08 or newer.
- Amazing Follower Tweaks 1.66 or newer

B. Manual Installation (Downloaded from SkyrimNexus)

This is probably the safest method as it ensures full control over when
you upgrade (or don't upgrade) to the latest version of the mod.

1) If you do not already have it, get 7-zip : www.7-zip.org

** Do not use WinRar to open/extract .7z files. It will corrupt them.

2) Once 7-zip is installed, open the .7z file downloaded from SkyrimNexus
with it. Typically you need only double click the file:

AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost_v1_0.7z

3) Within the 7-zip window, select the menu options:

"Help" -> "About 7-zip"

Ensure you have version 9.20 or greater/newer. If you do not, return
to step 1 and get the latest version.

4) The 7-zip window will show 2 files:

/Data
readme_AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.txt

A common mistake made by people reading this readme is that they
double click the readme and then hit extract. However, if you are
reading this readme from the .7z file, chances are the
readme_AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.txt file is the only thing hi-lighted.

You will want to ensure both the Data directory and the
readme_AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.txt file are hi-lighted before hitting
the extract button.

To hi-light both entries quickly, hit CTRL + A

5) Hit Extract and then [...] to browse to the location of your skyrim
installation.

Most people will find it in one of these two locations:

Computer -> C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim

or

Computer -> C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim

After you click on and hi-light skyrim, click [OK] and then [OK]
once more

7) When you start up Skyrim, go to Data Files and make sure the
AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.esp mod is checked and BELOW
AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp.

IV. > > > > Uninstall
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This Addon makes changes to AFT and its save game stucture that can not be
undone. Therefore, to uninstall this Addon, you must uninstall AFT as well.

IE: Perform a "Reset AFT" using the Tweak COmmand -> Tools menu.

Then exit the game and disable both AFT and this Addon.

Load your save game. Wait for 24 hours and then fast travel. Then save
again.

If you wish to continue using AFT without this Addon, then you can
re-enable AFT once the save is cleaned.

If you wish to physically remove the Addon, then locate the game
installation directory. Most computers will find it in one of these
two locations:

C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\


Delete the following files from within the skyrim directory:


(Skyrim Install)\Data\AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.esp
(Skyrim Install)\Data\AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.bsa
(Skyrim Install)\Data\AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.bsl
