Immersive Pickup Only

Are you in VR? Keep trying to remember to use HIGGS or a similar mod to interact with the world in a different way? Or keep accidentally stealing items from stores when trying to talk to the shopkeeper? Well is this the mod for you!

We love using HIGGS, We find it so immersive, but we were often having trouble remembering to use it, since we were so used to using the normal method. Immersive Pickup Only (IPO) prevents items from being picked up by activating them. This reminds the player to use HIGGS or another method of more immersive picking up and also protects the player from accidentally stealing items (don't worry, those of you who are thieves can still steal easily using HIGGS

The menu also contains an option to reallow the normal method, since we found there was the occasional edge case where HIGGS didn't work. In case you don't want to have to go into the menu to disable and reenable the mod, the menu can teach you a power that can toggle the mod. This power is not learned automatically, so you do have to go into the menu at least once if you want to learn it.

FAQ:

Does this mod have any compatibility issues?
So far we have not found any issues specifically with other mods, that said as we stated above there are the occasional edge case when the mod would have to be toggled off momentarily, do to an object being static so HIGGS is unable to use it, but it still being obtainable by activating it. That's why the menu and the power exist, but I doubt you will have to use it regularly.

What if I only want to use it to prevent stealing while I'm in shops, or I want to use it always except when I'm in a dungeon and want to be able to quickly pick up loot?
Good news! The menu and the power provide easy ways to turn the mod on and off.

If I find an issue with the mod or have some feedback what should I do?
Please let me know if you find any issues with the mods or if you think of features that would be good to modify or add. We take feedback very well (provided you are polite or nice about it) and would be happy to fix issues and consider suggestions. Please feel free to write something in the posts tab.

Is HIGGS really required?
Technically no? The mod will still function without it but you'd better add a different way of picking up items that doesn't rely on activating them or else you'll be unable to pick anything up. We're not aware of any specific alternatives, although if you find something, please let us know!

What if I want to use it in flatrim, instead of VR?
This is also technically possible, but see question above. HIGGS only works in VR.
