Cool addon, but not a fan of the near-total removal of the debuff for researching. I think I can just replace the right script with original and I can be miserable again. I'm testing it now, and if I'm successful I'll post the script name for anyone that likes the mod but is irked by the rebalancing.
Replacing _SR_EffectResearchScript.pex increments exhaustion by 10 per hour as opposed to 10 per 3 hours. Good enough a nerf for me. Hope there're no unintended effects to lobotomizing the mod, but I could spend all day in a book at level 1 and get free skill-ups.
The description is misleading ! Keyword Item Distributor is not optional, because with this addon installed spell research alchemy list will be blank unless you have Keyword Item Distributor installed.
I have been trying to rack my brain for answer probably all day but, I use Requiem 5.4.5 and it seems as tho staffs and some Requiem Expanded Grimoire tomes can't be researched. I'm not that intelligent when it comes to trying to understand the intricacies of moddding or patch two mods together. There is a patch for Expanded Grimoire but, it seems a bit outdated.
Is there a way you can suggest for me to maybe learn to make an updated patch for atleast staves?
Yea I give up. I have literally spent all day running different combinations of add-ons just to realize even with patches the only one that works with this is alchemy expansion. I've tried truly I have. I created a new profile in MO2 to test with only spell research, this mod, other add-ons, and their requirements. Don't get me wrong I'd love to use this mod but, with mods like experience book, convenience add-on, spell composing, and alchemy expansion. I can't choose this mod over those they work fine together. If someone makes a fix or finds one please let me know until then, I'm dropping this mod. Still going to endorse though because I love the idea.
1- Is there a way to deactivate the analyze scrolls feature? (i don't mind if it also involves disabling analyzing scrolls, staves and tomes altogether).
The thing is breaks progression pacing whenever i find a master level scroll at lvl 15, studying it for a couple hours and BUM, suddenly i don't need to study 7 archetypes never again in the whole game cuz of 1 single scroll OR making scrolls have a chance to be studied, or burnt granting nothing, only once based on the corresponding school of magic, this should allow the feature to stay but to also be balanced.
3- This mod is altering the ultimate addon compatibility with unpaused menus from Skyrim Souls RE - Updated during cauldron usage. To be specific right after dumping items to be dissolved and closing the list, the message box appears instantly when there should be no message box while thing are dissolving. (maybe even other spell research features that uses message box menuare affected, haven't noticed anything.)
4- Thanks for the mod, this feels like the last polishing spell research needed to be perfect.
1. I was planning to add an MCM option to toggle the features I added, but I just never got around to it. I'll see what I can do with the balance. 2. Yeah, it's compatible. 3. That's kind of an intended feature actually (especially with Souls RE), so you can still add items/fuel when items are dissolving. Are items not dissolving unless you exit out of the menu? Or do you want an option to automatically move away from the cauldron when items are dissolving. 4. thanks and you're welcome.
1- Yeah, no items should give more archetype knowledge throu research than an ancient text translation or an old grimoire if that happens it just rendering those 2 items useless. (The exception to this are unique story items that you'll only have for a "limited" amount of time, that are getting useless also thanks to master scrolls that you can buy easily at your local mage) 3- Right now items start dissolving as soon as i close the list and then the message box appears and i can walk away from the cauldron and things keep dissolving, before installing your mod i have to see the character mixing animation while things were dissolving and the message box appeared after the dissolving was done... Now if the first describe scenario is the intended behavior it is ok, it's not harming the process in any way.
Edit: It wasn't working because I didn't have all the requirements. Thought I had Papyrus Extender, but didn't. Woops.
However now I have an issue where scrolls can have research performed on them, but whenever I try to analyze the spell it doesn't bring up the proper screen, just says this spell doesn't follow normal spell architecture.

No individual add-on support here. If you plan on using addons get the Ultimate Add-on Patch Mod and just get my patch for it.

2- Is this mod compatible with Spell Research - Spell Composing?? (Did a quick testing it seems to be working fine ingame)

Also, how are unrecognized spell tomes handled, ones which don't contain a spell that's been patched into SR?
The feature regarding unsupported stuff is just for spells with the "Taking Note" action.
and i'll keep that in mind with the mcm option
Edit:
Wait, when you say normal, do you mean as in 'Vanilla' normal or literally they are just books.
