if i add this mod during a game all the map markers will be grayed out or it keep the discovered markers? its not a big problem, it just serves me to keep tracking of the locations that i have already completed
P.S. IMHO you should better explain that your mod is fundamental to kkep the markers updated from savegame to savegame, because this is not quite clear. I installed this mod only "hoping" that my markers would appear again after I changed the map system (from vanilla to Paper Map by Caro). All my markers have disappeared and, whith this mod, re-appeared again. So I understood the sense of this mod. A small but essential mod!
Sorry to be a bother - but no matter what I try, installing AMM 2.3 removes all but city and town names and existing player homes. Everything else gone.
First installed MCM Helper - initially I forgot it, thought that was my problem, but it didn't help. I installed this mod with 2.2. Opened the game. Waited a bit. Opened the MCM. Tried Enable, Load Settings, close MCM, wait for map update, check map (fine) and save. Quit to desktop.
Then installed 2.3. Opened the game. Map empty. Open MCM, Maintenance Tab is enabled, looks fine. Try Load Settings. Map claims to be updated, but remains empty. Tried it with the MCM folder containing the ini file where it was in the Overwrite folder, directly in Data in the Game Directory folder, and in the MO2 Virtual folder for this mod - all of which should still be the Data folder.
Tried it again, from restoring 2.2 and opening it with Settings Loader on an earlier Save, but selected "Load Settings Every Game". Same results. I cannot seem to get 2.3 to install with my game's progress still present.
I've looked at and bookmarked several Settings Loaders, as a great idea, but this is the first I've installed. One question (so far), what format, and what kind of delay, should be used for iLoadingDelay? Is it a binary toggle, delay on or delay off, or an actual time, and if so, how much is needed for a very heavily modded game - near 1300 mods?
Oh and one more question: Will this mod save settings for Atlas from update to update, now that Atlas has stopped supporting FISS? The latest Atlas Map Markers, 2.3, wiped out all markers of individual buildings across my map, leaving only towns and ruins. I had to restore 2.2 from the backup to get it all back. This is what drove me here long before I'll be considering a new game.
Thanks for this! It really is a great idea, whether it works for my present problem or not
My thanks for the prompt and complete reply. Very much appreciated.
My question about the delay was prompted by your FAQ: "If you have a lot of mods with scripts, the engine can't keep up. Set a delay for loading settings in the "Maintenance" tab." This is why I ask. This is already an issue for me - my game is definitely pushed to near the limit.
However, I'm going to assume that the recommended delay is only if the problem actually appears as mentioned in the FAQ, and that preventative measures need not be taken. Unless it's otherwise, I need no further reassurance. Thanks again!
Thanks, been waiting for this. I've been growing spoiled from your mods and Atlas was one of the few MCMs I still needed to manually configure every time I started a new game.
You're welcome, feel free to ask for the others In the next month or two I'm going to take care of the loader requests that have accumulated over the last few months

Afraid I'm at a loss...

Integer. There is no reason to set a delay.
The only situation would be to load settings without in applying, which should not happen with this mod.

Thank you for the info! No changes in MCM, works for 2.3, I updated description.
