    Detailed NPCs is my suite of mods that equips various items to NPCs relevant to their roles (e.g., guards, mercenaries, farmers, etc.). As a result, Detailed NPCs enhances storytelling through small visual cues that provide insights (even clues!) to all the wonderful (and not so wonderful!) NPCs in game. Many of my mods can be used together to create layers of meaning.

    v1.1 replaces the ground (.GND) meshes. Important update, and previous versions should be discarded and replaced with this version.

    Thank you! Having fun playing dress up :). Your page is very inspiring when I had to reinstall mods on a new pc from scratch, so many reminders
    of "oh I need that, and that too..." And finding amazing new stuff of course.  Plus with SPID no hassle of
    touching npcs or leveled lists!

    Can you make a female only version?

      A major feature of all my mods is that users can tailor the mods however you want - just open up the _DISTR.ini and edit it.

      To give circlets to females only, edit the _DISTR.ini like this (replace 'NONE' with 'F' in the correct spot):

      ;Equips Circlets to Jarl and Thane NPCs
      Spell = 0x8D8~DNPCsCirclets.esp|ActorTypeNPC|0x050920,0x013BBD,0x01A6B7,0x014149,0x013265,0x01365A,0x01326A,0x013272,0x013BBC,0x0135EB,0x01339F,0x01C188,0x01C180,0x013366,0x01336A,0x013653,0x013606,0x0133BB,0x01414D,0x013BB5|NONE|NONE|F|100
      ;Equips Circlets to Treasury House NPCs
      Spell = 0x8D8~DNPCsCirclets.esp|ActorTypeNPC|0x06566B|NONE|NONE|F|100
      ;Equips Circlets to Noble NPCs
      Spell = 0x8D8~DNPCsCirclets.esp|ActorTypeNPC|0x102D62|NONE|NONE|F|100

    A bit confusing, the older version is 1.1 but the latest version is 1.0?...

    Does this mod need an update to work with SPID 6.x? I am getting a lot of errors in my po3_SpellPerkItemDistributor.log like this:

    [DNPCsCirclets_DISTRI.ini] Filter (00050920) SKIP - form doesn't exist

    Or is it a different problem?

    This is true of some of the other Detailed NPCs mods, as well.

    Thanks!

      Working for me on SPID 6.3.0. Have you updated the recent file?

      That is weird. MO2 did not see the update to your mod here, so I was still using an older version (v.1.1). Maybe because the newer file is labeled v.1.0?

      I just updated to the newer version (1.0) and the error in po3_SpellPerkItemDistributor.log went away. It looks like it is initializing at game start.

      po3_SpellPerkItemDistributor.log has this:
      INI : Data\DNPCsCirclets_DISTR.ini

      I can't tell if it is actually loading anything, though.

      Thanks!

      Oh, I see that a few of your mods have received updates, but MO2 is not alerting me to them, I think (maybe?) because the version numbers of the updates did not advance. I will go thru when I can get a moment and manually search for updates to your mods. It might be a couple days before I can test it...

      Most of my mods have been updated. I am updating the version numbers of all mods so that users will be alerted etc.

      No need to re-download this mod if you downloaded it yesterday.

    I think the Thalmor would wear something like this, too.

      My _DISTR.ini in my Rune Auras for Thalmor has a nice distribution list for the Thalmor. You could use those FormIDs in that _DISTR.ini to distribute circlets to the Thalmor.

    Hi there, your mods are great, I've got most of them up and running now and NPCs look great. I wanted to make my own using some jewelry mods. How do you create the scripts necessary to equip the items? Presumably using CK? Thanks

    Iirc the original KDCirclets only was supposed to work with female human/mer characters (so I never got to try them) do these work with Khajiit and Argonians as well or is my thief still out of luck when she sees a tasty mark wearing these lovelies?

    Thank you so much for this and your other "detailed npcs" mods!
    I noticed that some of the circlets clip with vanilla male faces though.
