26 March 2022: Small edit correcting Heartfire to Hearthfire in Versions A and C. The typo is present in the original mod. Thanks Helith for spotting that one.

The AMOT settings loader overwrites this text file. I am wondering what the change is so I can edit it in Notepad ++.

If you aren't switching between TOTS and Faster TOTS anyway, you can just edit the AMOT interface file directly (specifically the amatteroftime_english.txt file inside AMOT) using Notepad++ instead of using this to overwrite that file. Is the AMOT settings loader generated by another mod?
Apologies for the delayed reply, I haven't touched this game since blegh-ever (BG3 happened and it keeps happening) and I'm really struggling to remember where modding was when I stopped playing so this reply is just off the top of my head and what's left that I can remember.

Is this compatible with Obsidian Weathers, which also has its own Seasons system?

I don't know how Obsidian seasons work but if it the seasonal shifts happen every three months, Version A will work. These edits to the widget itself is hooked only to A Matter of Time display ini and nothing else.

I'm likely missing the point, but doesn't AMoT already have a setting to display seasons?

It does, but it's off by a month for some reason. I went poking around in the files to see if I could fix it, but I've no idea where to even start looking lol. I'll probably just install this instead, although I'll miss seeing the little season symbol on the clock.
I don't use the mods that create actual seasons because I'm not sure my laptop can handle it (but god do I want to), but I do use Frostfall Seasons, so knowing the season is still very useful for me.

Oof, that's an odd issue, @emeralddragons. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but there is a mod that allows you to change the current date (I vaguely recollect that the modder wanted to be able to change the Seasons at will). That may fix the issue you described; but read carefuly if you find it!! I can't remember how it handled the at-will change. In any case, I'm afraid it is unlikely that my AMOT edits to the xml this fix it, though. All it really does is intercept what AMOT will display and spits out a different string. Like, if it says January, it will say Autumn instead. Or add the word "Autumn", depending on the version.

I'm pretty sure AMOT does display seasons, but the seasons do not change every month, which is what Faster Seasons enables Turn of the Seasons to do. I just wanted my minimalist AMOT widget to reflect this. The other versions are just "might-as-wells", for those like me who don't actually remember ever seeing the seasons icons lol

Is there a way to change the position of the widget, say like to the bottom left or right of the screen?

    TIA

Yep! (Apologies, didn't see this question earlier, late nights). It's a feature of the original A Matter of Time HUD Widget. Go to your MCM menu, the options to adjust positions on your screen are there. You'll have to individually position the elements of the widget. If you want yours to be at the bottom left, for example, start by anchoring one element to the bottom and left, then change the values to see where it lands (depends on the resolution of your monitor). Then just tweak from there.
Or, you can install AMOT presets--there are several on Nexus and you might find them useful.

      @ PaganoWagano
Yes, I did that, AMOT Setting Loader guaranties my set position at game start ; however, during playtime, the icon moves ( quite a bit ) to the left of its anchored position, any idea ? Using AMOT B, testing now AMOT C

P.S. Didn't comment about your nice idea, even on my minimalist AMOT display of only game/current time on the left top third of the screen, your icon lined up just above. Endorsed already.

Hey there! Seems you made a little typo. I'm using only the main version where the months name are changed, and noticed that Sun's Height is set to Sprint, instead of Summer.

Sun's Height is a summer month isn't it?
Also I noticed that it says Heartfire instead of Hearthfire

@Helith You know, you're correct! I unpacked the original bsa and it seems to be spelled "Heartfire" in the original mod. I will correct it this weekend.
Also, if you are using Versions B or C, Sun's Height ends up being spring because Four Seasons Faster Seasons starts with MORNING STAR (January) = Autumn. Since the mod makes seasonal shift happen every month instead of quarterly, we do end up with SUN'S HEIGHT (July) - Spring and EVENING STAR (December) - Summer.
I made these edits to completely rename the months altogether. I don't care about the months anyway, I just need the seasons info because Frostfall and Requiem together make planning necessary for long treks. In the end, I figured I'd add the other versions in case anyone prefers it that way. I was doing it already anyway, so I might as well.
      Thanks for spotting the typo!

yeah, I should have said I'm using version A which is basically the vanilla seasons where it would be summer.
That's wild that the original mod had that typo in it the whole time.
Thanks for making these, I'm just using Sunhelm and Seasons of Skyrim, but it's really handy to know what season it is as the original mod has it's seasons follow Obsidian weather seasons which differ by a month from vanilla. This works perfectly.
