So it turns out there wasn't any issue with your mod. I had a mod that forcibly removed the glow around nirnroots that I had installed before ever using community shaders, and it seems like it was removing the glow from the root weeds and such for some reason.
This may be a stupid question but I am brand new to trying anything ENB related so I really dont know. If i have downloaded and installed the base ENB programme but have not yet chosen an actual ENB like Rudy or whatever will this mod still make the plants glow? I am asking because it would be cool if it does work and I can use it anyway even if my laptop cannot handle a full ENB.
I think technically yes, but settings within ComplexParticleLights in enbseries.ini need to be done first, I think, or at least enabled (can be done in-game with the ENB interface). The easiest way to see if ENB light works is by toggling off\on while looking at an item that you've downloaded ENB light particles for.
That said, I recommend trying out some very performance-friendly ENB presets if it doesn't work. One of my all-time favorites is Yuevie's Minimal ENB?, a vastly underrated preset. Of course, as you're new, make sure to check some guides beforehand. I recommend ESO, Gopher and GamePoets (all on Youtube) as sources.
Wow super quick reply, thank you :) I will try the ENB you mentioned. I was literally just scrolling through ENB's now and trying to find a light weight one to test my systems ability to handle it. I have a good gaming laptop but not a great one. Still you have to at least try these things out right :) Pretty sure I have watched every ENB related video on the Tube lol. Def watched ESO's, first Skytuber I checked when I decided to give it a bash. Thanks again for the help. I'll let you know how I get on :)
I wish you good luck! I haven't tried the ENB for a while now (it's been updated recently too), but Yuevie was the one I used for at least a year and a half before I upgraded my computer. I hope it's to your taste and, above all else, performance.
If I decide to use this, should I use it instead of 3W's - More lights for ENB SE - Mania tileset or is there only some overlap and I should let yours win the conflicts with that other one?
Up to you on which one you prefer. Their mod does much more than mine. I only added lights to plants that already had bioluminescence, while their mod also adds it to other flora such as Rot Scale. If you prefer the lights in this mod for the selected flora, you can install their mod and overwrite with mine, so that you get both. If not, simply keep theirs without mine,
The only thing they might not have added is the root weeds, I think.
Think I'll go with yours then as I don't think I necessarily want a bunch of ENB lights added to stuff that doesn't already seem glowy (like the rotscale). Thanks for the reply!
